Cyclamen alias radish and begonia, rabbit ear flower, rabbit flower, first crown, bonspark, petal lotus, are primroses and cyclamen perennial herbs, belonging to flowers commonly planted in daily life, so how to raise cyclamen? What are the breeding methods and matters needing attention? How much is the price per pot?

How much is cyclamen per pot?

It's hard to say. There are 3 yuan, 5 yuan, 10 yuan, 15 yuan and 20 yuan, and the larger one costs 30 yuan during the Spring Festival. If the quality is different, the size is different, the price is not the same.

I. Culture methods / steps

1. Lighting: cyclamen likes sunshine, so cyclamen should be placed in a sunny place for maintenance. Adequate light is very beneficial to their fertility, but they are afraid of direct exposure to strong light in summer.

2. Fertilization: cyclamen is a fertilizer-loving plant. 2 ‰ potassium dihydrogen phosphate is applied once a year in spring and autumn. Nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied during flowering, otherwise it will cause branches and leaves to grow and shorten the life of flowers.

3. Temperature: cyclamen can not bear high temperature. Too high temperature will put it into a dormant state. Plants above 30 ℃ will stop growing and go into dormancy, while plants above 35 ℃ will easily rot and die. In winter, the flowering temperature should not be lower than 10 ℃. If the temperature is too low, the flower color will be dim and easy to wither, and the suitable temperature for growth is 15 Mel 20 ℃.

4. Watering: cyclamen likes to be wet and afraid of waterlogging plants, but should not be watered too much. Too much watering will cause rotten roots and death. Just keep the soil moist every day.

5. Diseases and insect pests: cyclamen has more diseases than insect pests. Botrytis cinerea and soft rot are the main diseases, which are mostly caused by bacterial infection, and the disease parts show softening and rot, which can be prevented by methyl topiramate or chlorothalonil.

6. Precautions: be careful not to water the flower buds and tender leaves to avoid decay.

II. Family maintenance

1. Moisture: keep the basin moist but not too wet to prevent rotting roots.

2. Light: like light, bask in the sun as much as possible below 28 ℃.

3, ventilation: cyclamen likes ventilation, smoke and dirty air will make the petals dry and wither, but they can not be placed directly in the tuyere.

4. Temperature: the suitable growth temperature is 10-20 ℃, the growth is slow below 5 ℃, freezing injury will occur at 0 ℃, and the growth stops above 30 ℃, and it is in a dormant state.

5. The soil prefers loose neutral soil, pH 6, Mel 7.

6. Fertilizer: do not have too much nitrogen fertilizer. But the cyclamen special fertilizer sold on the market shall be used according to the instructions. It can also be used in combination with compound fertilizer particles with nitrogen: phosphorus: potassium = 20:20:20 and potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliar fertilizer.

III. Key points of cultivation

1. November to March

Cyclamen blossoms. Potted flowers should be placed in front of the south window or 1 meter in front of the south closed balcony where the light can be seen. Keep the basin soil moist at room temperature above 10 ℃ and water 1% once a month. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliar fertilizer can blossom continuously. In a room without heating facilities, you should pay attention to prevent low temperature and cold wind. You can cover it with a transparent plastic bag in a basin and put it in a warm and bright place. When the temperature is high, you should open the plastic bag to get some air. It can blossom from February to March.

From April to May

As the florescence is coming to an end, cut off the residual flowers as soon as possible and gradually put them in the outdoor sun. Water 1% once a week. With the compound fertilizer solution, the new leaves will grow quickly, the old leaves will fall off, and the corms will grow larger. If aphids occur, you can use brushes or cotton swabs dipped in water brushes to eliminate; if leaves are found to shrink and turn yellow, carbofuran 1g can be buried along the edge of the basin to eliminate root-knot nematodes.

March and June

Water and fertilizer management is the same as in May. Keep it in the shade when the temperature is high. Some potted flowers fall their leaves and enter dormancy after flowering until September. At this time should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, keep the basin soil slightly wet, do not fertilize.

April, July to August

When the north enters the high temperature season, water and fertilizer should be controlled and stopped. Undormant plants should be placed on the east or north balcony, bask in the sun for more than an hour every morning, or in the shade of trees. At this time, new leaf buds and flower buds grow at the top of the bulb. In case of rot (Botrytis cinerea), 1000 times of chlorothalonil wettable powder can be sprayed and irrigated.

May and September

Dormant bulbs begin to sprout. The old plants of more than two years can be changed, and the newly purchased bulbs can also be planted at this time. When planting, first pad 2cm thick charcoal slag or ceramsite, coarse gravel at the bottom of the basin, and then add culture soil. The old plant should be planted with soil. After planting, the potted surface should be high in the center and low around it. The bulb should be exposed to the soil at 1 / 2. Water should be thoroughly watered the next day and maintained in a shady place. The light can be increased after the new buds grow.

June and October

When entering the vigorous growth period, it should be maintained in the sun. Use 1% a week. The compound fertilizer solution was poured once, and 1% o potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliar fertilizer was sprayed once. Frosts Descent entered the house before and can blossom in November.

Matters needing attention

1. Grey mold

The main symptom is that the lesion has a small spot with a diameter of 1-2 mm, and then gradually expands and shows brown rot. When the petiole or flower stalk is infected, the leaf or flower folds upside down, and there is a gray mildew layer in the lesion, which turns into a yellowish mildew layer, which is caused by high humidity and poor ventilation.

Prevention and control: first, timely ventilation to reduce air humidity; second, timely removal of diseased leaves to reduce the source of infection; third, spraying Dysen zinc, carbendazim and other broad-spectrum fungicides.

2. Soft rot

It was mostly caused by bacterial infection, and the disease site showed softening and decay, and the occurrence site was more common in the corm. Mainly matrix disinfection is not complete or no disinfection, high temperature or high humidity is easy to occur. Control methods can be sprayed with agricultural streptomycin or carbendazim and so on.

3. Tuber rot

How to prevent the rotting of cyclamen tubers is an important link in the cultivation of cyclamen. In addition to low temperature and bacterial infection, the most common ones are caused by improper maintenance, hot summer weather, poor ventilation or rain. Tubers are easy to rot. In addition, improper watering during the growth period is also the main cause of decay, cyclamen watering should not use immersion method, so as not to store too much water at the bottom of the basin, resulting in decay.

What if the cyclamen leaves turn yellow?

1. Cyclamen leaves are curly and yellowing

Leaf curl yellowing is a more common situation of cyclamen leaves yellowing, basically this phenomenon occurs, that is, cyclamen plants lack nutrition, it is necessary to replenish nutrients in time. What needs to be done is to fertilize in time. You can buy some special flower fertilizer, or add some cooked soybeans and bean cakes to the soil, which can also play a role in replenishing nutrition.

2. The stems of cyclamen are rotten and the leaves are yellow.

Cyclamen appears the phenomenon that the flower stem is rotten and the flowers and leaves are yellow, which may be due to too much watering, resulting in rotten roots.

Therefore, when raising cyclamen, we should pay attention to the right amount of watering. When you find this phenomenon, stop watering and wait until others are dry before watering.

3. Cyclamen leaves are yellow and dry

Cyclamen leaves appear yellow and dry phenomenon, this is mostly due to the cultivation of cyclamen, the basin soil permeability is too poor, or the basin soil is too dry.

Cyclamen can be replaced with some well-breathable soil, and pay attention to watering from the bottom, the water temperature should be close to the indoor temperature.

4. Cyclamen leaves are dry and yellow

Cyclamen sometimes appears the phenomenon of withering and yellowing on the leaves, because when cyclamen plants are watered, if they are accidentally poured on the leaves, it is easy to store water, and water stains will occur over a long period of time, resulting in poor breathing of the leaves, dry and yellowing, and will affect the viewing.

So be careful when watering cyclamen, and it is best to dry the water with a softer cloth in time.
