There are a large number of Chinese native bees distributed in the vast mountains and woodlands of China. Many friends who like bees have obtained a large number of wild bees by catching them in the wild. In the past, many friends who raised Chinese bees obtained wild bees by looking for ways to catch them. How do empty beehives attract bees? What are the fastest ways to lure wild bees?

How do empty beehives attract bees?

First, we need to make a beehive to lure bees. In this hive, we have to consider the living habits of bees, that is to say, to make an environment suitable for bees to live in. Because our beehives are kept in the wild, our beehives had better have super anti-decay ability, and there should be no peculiar smell, mainly to prevent bees from being fumigated by the odor.

Second, simulate the living environment of bees. I believe friends who have bought beehives know that there are many kinds of beehives, one of which is whether to boil wax or not. at present, the price of beehives for cooking wax is a little more expensive. The main reason is that the beehive boiled wax can not only remove the original smell of the beehive, but also make the beehive have the taste of honey, and another function is to make the beehive more resistant to decay. We can simulate this way to increase the taste of beehive honey by applying beeswax to the beehive.

We all know that where a bee colony wants to settle down, a worker bee in the colony will first make a survey, that is, we often talk about detection bees, and this kind of beehive we choose has a strong smell of honey, so that it can attract bees, and when the reconnaissance bees find this good environment, they will naturally inform other bees to come to live, when the queen bee brings other bees to this residence. Then our bee trapping process is complete.

In fact, we have been using this method for a long time. Many of our friends who keep Chinese bees like to put some empty buckets next to the bees. Instead of smearing them with wax, they put a few pieces of wax directly in the buckets. This will also attract some bees, at least some of them will live directly in the empty buckets when the bees are separated. So, if we want to say that this kind of beehive we are talking about is advanced, in fact, the predecessor is our oldest in-situ beetrap method.

Making of beehive

Using the beehive, this method can be said to be waiting, but many friends have a lot of problems in the process of using the beehive, that is, the bees do not go in at all, or they will escape after entering. Under normal circumstances, as long as our beehive is done, the bees will not run out after entering. If the bees run out, it can only show one thing, that is, our beehive is unqualified. So how can we make a qualified beehive?

The first step is to prepare a standard box. The beehive is originally a beehive, we don't want a relay box, we want a main box separately, but we have to deal with this main box. If there are no pests and odors in a beehive, the bees generally will not fly away. If one of the above occurs, it may cause the introduced bees to fly away. So we usually recommend using the old beehive when using it.

The second step, prepare beeswax, pot, brush. If we have discarded beeswax in our house, you can take it out and use it, add water directly to the pot, and then put the beeswax into the pot and boil it.

The third step, when the beeswax melts, use a brush dipped in beeswax water to lure the beehive. The method is to open the beehive lid first, spread the beeswax evenly on the beehive, and smear evenly from the inside to the outside.

The fourth step, after the beehive internal and external smear is completed, smear the beehive cover, for the hive gap these smooth it.

The fifth step, after the beeswax is smeared, put it in a cool place to dry naturally, and it can be used in three or four days.

This is how to make a beehive. When we use it, we can use empty boxes to put them in the suburbs where bees are prone to appear, and if there are conditions, we can also put some nest foundations directly in the beehives, so that when bees come, they can build nests directly on the nest foundations.

The fastest way to lure bees

1. Honey smell: smear some honey in the old beehive and put it in the place where wild bees are often active. Every evening, observe whether there are bees entering the hive. If so, move the hive away over a distance of more than three thousand meters. Otherwise, there will be bees back.

2. Honeycomb fragments: some fragments of the hive are lit near the hive in the evening, when the wild bees will come to the hive after smelling the fragrance, and if the hive also has the smell of bee life, it will enter the hive.

3. Use scout bees: lure scout bees into the hive with honey. Do not close the nest door and let them leave on their own. After repeated several times, scout bees will bring a large number of bees. Find the queen bee after the colony arrives and control the queen bee to keep it from flying away.

How to find wild bee colonies?

1. Habitat: the habitat requirements of wild bees are very strict, and they often choose to live not only in cold winter, but also in hot summer, and the enemy is very difficult to attack, so they often nest in the foothills from the north to the south. tree caves, caves and soil caves in the hillside.

2. Honey source conditions: honey source is the basis of colony survival and the primary condition for wild bees to build nests, so the existence and number of bees in the wild can be judged according to the species and quantity of local honey plants and the duration of honey flow.

3. Defecation status: worker bees usually defecate near the hive. When the sun is weak from October to February of the following year, when the sun shines on the hive before 12:00, the bees will come out of the hive to defecate, which can be seen clearly within 100m of the hive.

4. water collection behavior: during the dry season, bees go to places where there is water every day to collect water, and most of the water collection bees are old bees and do not fly far. Find the place where the bees collect water, and after collecting enough water, the bees fly back in a straight line and follow the direction of the flight.

5. Honey-gathering behavior: after collecting enough honey powder, the worker bee will not be too far from the hive when it flies back to the hive about 3 meters lower from the ground, and should be tracked along the flight direction. If the homing bee flies high, more than six or seven meters from the ground, it means that the hive is 1 kilometer away.

6, tracking worker bees: generally choose at 9: 11 in the morning, pay attention to observe the return flight line, follow the bee flight line. You can also listen to the sound of bees flying by. The tip of the sound disappears quickly, indicating that the nest is far away or out of the nest. The sound is longer and disappears slowly indicates that the nest is not far away.
