Last Updated: 2024/11/06, This kind of flower is an aquatic green plant that can survive for many years. Its stem growing in the mud is very stout, can be eaten, and tastes crisp and tender. Many people like this taste. Its flowering date is from June to September, the flowers grow on the top, there are many petals, white, pink and so on, the fruit is also very delicious. Its leaves are very big, as big as pots, and look spectacular, so when do they usually wither?

When will it wither

Its leaves naturally wither from October to November. It grows new leaves from March to April and begins to blossom from May to August. A flower can last for two to five days. After blooming, it bears fruit. From October to November, the stems and leaves begin to wither. Wait until the next spring to start a new round of life.

If it is in the Yangtze River, it will grow leaves from late March to early April, flowers from late April to early May, bloom from June to August, yellow leaves from October to November, and stop growing temporarily after November. It usually grows in the lake and can be seen in many parks.

Second, growth habits

It grows in water, and it is not very mobile in water, which is its favorite place. The water requirements of different varieties are different. Larger ones need deeper water, such as Red Chiba, but not more than 1.7 meters. Relatively small varieties need only 20 to 60 centimeters of water, which is suitable for keeping at home.

It can't leave water. If you keep it at home, its leaves will wither if you don't give it water for more than three hours in summer. If there is no water all day, the leaves will scorch and the flowers will wither. It likes the sun very much, it can't leave the sun in the whole process of growing up, and it doesn't like shady places.

Third, maintenance skills

1. Water

At the beginning of its growth, the water cannot exceed three centimeters, because it is so deep that it is difficult to maintain the temperature of the soil at the bottom. If you don't use clean water, dry it for a day or two. Summer is the time when it grows fastest, there must be no water in the tank, and it should be kept wet after winter.

2. Fat

It needs phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and only a little nitrogen fertilizer. If the soil is of good quality and does not need to be fertilized for a whole year, you can add animal manure to it, not too much, and mix it with the soil. When winter comes, you should move it to your home or bury it in the earth.
