When it comes to the parasite "lice", everyone probably feels disgusted. In the case of poor hygiene in the past, many people have had head lice, which often occur in children, especially girls. How did the lice come from? What's the quickest way to remove it?

Lice belong to the insect class, lice order, human lice family. It is a wingless insect with a flattened back and abdomen and is a permanent in vitro parasite. It is also a general term for a class of wingless small parasitic insects, divided into two large groups: the suborder obtuscata and the suborder Cephaloptera (also known as chewing lice or biting lice), parasitic on birds and mammals, and sucking lice, parasitic only on mammals.

Lice are parasitic insects that fully adapt to the host body surface environment, and the requirements for the parasitic environment are relatively constant and specific. For example, the optimum temperature of body lice is 30-32 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature of human body surface. The optimum relative humidity is 10% and 60%. I don't like humidity and heat. There is a tendency towards darkness. Therefore, after the weather turns warm in spring, when the host sweats or has a fever due to activity, lice are easy to climb from the body surface to the outside of the clothes and spread outward through the contact of the host or clothes. Nymphs and adults of lice suck blood, and only suck human blood. The amount of blood sucking can generally reach more than 1 per cent of its body weight.

Lice, a parasite, is the main medium for the transmission of epidemic class rash, cold, lice relapsing fever and trench fever. Its adults and nymphs feed on the host all their lives, and there are three kinds of lice parasitic on the human body: body lice, head lice and pubic lice, of which body lice are the most common.

How do lice come into being?

The researchers believe that one of the most likely explanations for lice is that one of them has been parasitic on our ancestors, "modern humans". When "modern people" began to breed in Asia 20,000 years ago, another kind of lice transferred from "Homo erectus" who also lived in the region to "modern people". The researchers point out that only direct contact such as fighting, getting dressed or having sex can transfer lice from one species to another. Therefore, it is certain that Homo erectus must have had close contact with "modern people" before it became extinct.

What kinds of lice are there?

1. Body lice: the body lice is gray or gray-white, the head is slightly olive-shaped, the fusion of the sternal segment can not be distinguished, and there are a pair of stomata on both sides of the middle chest. The abdomen is long and flat, divided into 9 segments, and the appearance can be seen in 7 segments, with a pair of stomata on both sides of each node. The tail end of the abdomen of male lice is round and obtuse, and the tail end of female lice is bifurcated, similar to the shape of W.

2. Head lice: the body color of head lice is dark, the body size is small, the edge of abdomen is dark black, and others are similar to body lice.

3. Pubic lice: pubic lice are gray-white, the body width is almost equal to the body length, the abdomen is short, the segments are not obvious, there are verrucous protruding on both sides, the last pair is the largest, the front leg is small, the middle and hind legs are thick.

What symptom does lice bite have?

1. Itching is the main symptom of lice bites. Lice make holes or holes in the skin with their claws, and itching occurs when lice bite and inject saliva.

2. Pubic lice bugs can be found in the root of hair follicles, light black, grayish white or red (sucking blood), and small granular eggs can be found directly in some patients.
