Is it easy to raise black chickens?

In poultry farming, black chicken is not "easy to raise", because it has more requirements for breeding environment and technology, and is prone to epidemic, so there are not many farmers raising black chickens on a large scale in rural areas.

Second, how to raise black chicken to make money? What are the breeding methods and techniques?

Feeding and management during the rearing period (0-8 weeks old)

1. Prepare to pick up the chick

(1) cleaning and disinfection of the nursery. According to the production plan, at least one week before brooding, the nursery should be repaired and maintained, then thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and left vacant for use. Method of operation: after cleaning and removing feces, rinse with a high-pressure water gun, and then routinely disinfect them for 1 or 2 times. finally, put the brooding utensils and cushions into the nursery, and fumigate the doors and windows (42 ml formaldehyde plus 21 grams of potassium permanganate per cubic meter). Ask for more than 24 hours during fumigation).

(2) preparation of equipment and materials. Prepare enough food plates (paper), drinking fountains, cleaning utensils, veterinary utensils, etc., and carefully clean and disinfect.

When raising chicks on the ground, prepare sufficient dry, soft and mildew-free bedding in advance, such as sawdust, rice chaff or rice straw. For the first time, the floor of the nursery should be 5 cm thick and 10 cm thick.

Overhaul heating equipment such as boilers, wood chips furnaces, infrared lights, insulation umbrellas to ensure normal and safe work. Before entering the baby, the temperature in the house should be raised in advance to meet the requirements of brooding.

2. Brooding

(1) Chicken selection. Chicks should be selected from healthy breeding farms with livestock and poultry production and operation licenses and industrial and commercial business licenses, with uniform size, shiny fluff, lively spirit, loud calls and no fecal adhesion to the anus. After giving up, you should rest for a while, count only and put it into the insulation area.

(2) drinking and feeding chicks. Chicks should be teased to drink water for the first time 2436 hours after coming out of their shell. About 20 ℃ of lukewarm water or 0.01% potassium permanganate solution can be used, or 5% glucose and 0.05% vitamin C can be added to reduce stress.

The chicks can be fed after drinking enough water. Sprinkle half-cooked and half-wet chopped rice on the eating plate (paper) and use chicken feed when the chicks get used to pecking. Feed should be fed less frequently, 5 times 6 times per day and night at the age of 2 weeks, and 4 times per day and night from the age of 3 weeks. It is appropriate to eat it in about 20 minutes at a time. After 2-4 weeks of age, it can be fed in a trough.

(3) temperature and humidity control. Black chicken chicks have higher requirements for temperature and humidity. The 34~35oC (the temperature value of the height of the chicken back under the heating equipment such as infrared lights and umbrellas) should be maintained within 4 days of age, and the temperature of 8 days old should be kept at 33: 34 ℃, and then decreased by 2: 3 per week. After 5 weeks of age, it was maintained at 20: 25 ℃, and the indoor relative humidity was about 65% in the first week and 55% after that.

(4) Light control. The brood was exposed to 23 hours of light and 1 hour of darkness in the first 3 days. After 4 days, the light was reduced by two hours a day until the natural light.

(5) feeding density. The feeding density of black chicken chicks should not be too high. Generally, there are 50 chickens per square meter within 14 days of age, 30 chickens per square meter at the age of 15-28 days, and about 15 chickens per square meter after 28 days of age.

(6) ventilation management. The nursery should pay attention to proper ventilation and keep the air fresh.

Feed management during breeding and stocking period (9 weeks old to market)

1. Construction of chicken sheds and fences

The construction of stocking shed is based on the principles of safety, simplicity and economy. The stocking site is fenced with steel-plastic net, nylon net or bamboo pieces with a height of about 1.8 meters, which is easy to manage and avoid the loss of chickens and animal damage.

2. Transfer to group stocking

After the chicks are out of temperature, they generally choose to transfer from the nursery to the stocking shed on a sunny morning, and begin to feed outside. The stocking site is selected in bamboo, tea, fruit, mulberry and sparse forest where the terrain is high and dry, shelter from the wind and sun, quiet environment, convenient water source, no pollution, no animal harm, and so on.

3. Training

Proper training can form conditioned reflexes and reduce the intensity of management. The training methods are as follows: when grazing in the morning during the stocking period, one breeder takes the feed bucket, throws the feed while walking, knocks the bucket or blows the whistle, avoids the thick grass and leads the chickens toward the stocking site; another breeder drives behind until all the chickens enter the stocking area. At noon, the feeding trough and flume were set up in the stocking area, a small amount of compound feed and clean drinking water were added, and the chickens were guided to eat once with the same signal. At the same time, drive away the chickens that return home early. The homing and domestication was carried out in the same way in the evening. From near to far, such repeated training for 5-7 days.

4. Stocking mode

According to the economic conditions, manpower situation, technical level, the size of the stocking site, vegetation and so on, the breeders can determine the feeding scale by themselves. The scale of primary upbringing should not be too large, and it should be developed and expanded after experience. The general stocking density is 100. 200 chickens per mu should be controlled within 500 chickens per herd. It is suggested that the combination mode of ecological cycle such as rotational grazing and grazing should be adopted.

5. Prevent animal damage and reduce stress

The stress of black chicken is strong, and the stress caused by group conversion, immune operation, personnel in and out, and natural enemies should be avoided as far as possible, so as to create a good environment for the growth of black chicken.

In addition, the chicken house disinfection should be carried out once a week, in the event of an epidemic, continuous disinfection for a week.
