When it comes to bee farming, I believe we will find all kinds of problems when we raise new bees, which can be easily dealt with for our experienced friends, but it will be at a loss for some friends who have no experience in raising bees. For example, in bee breeding, the common bees turn black and do not come out of the house to collect honey. How to deal with it?

First, why do bees turn black?

1. Black bee disease

Black bee disease is a kind of bee disease of honeybees, which is caused by virus infection. The diseased bees will be paralyzed, shiny and shiny, and generally need standard treatment.

On the one hand, to replace the clean new beehive, the beehive should be regularly disinfected every 6 days or so, the method is to use about 10 grams of sublimated sulfur powder, evenly scattered on the frame beam, the hive door and the door of the box.

On the other hand, spray the spleen with 200000 units of neomycin or anti-bee virus, add 1 kg of syrup, shake well and spray on the bee spleen, spray once every 2 days, 2 ~ 3 times in a row.

2. Bees are frozen

It is not clear what caused this, but it is true that bees turn black in a frozen colony, a phenomenon that does not require drug treatment, and we just need to keep the bees warm.

3. The swarm lost its queen.

This is quite obvious, and many friends know it. If the queen bee is lost in a colony, the pheromone that controls the ovarian development of the worker bee will disappear, which leads to the ovarian development of the worker bee. In general, if there is no king platform to transform after the loss of the queen, the worker bees will lay eggs about 12 days after the loss of the queen.

After worker bees lay eggs in a colony, in fact, the number of bees in the whole colony does not increase, because it takes a certain amount of time for worker bees to come out of the house, which results in a group of bees in the whole colony, and these bees are decreasing continuously. the old worker bees die, the young worker bees quickly become old worker bees, and the drones are relatively black, which causes the whole colony to look black. The darker the later, because there are few or none of the worker bees in the colony after the drones leave the house, so we can see that the whole colony is black.

4. there are too many drones.

This usually happens before the division of bees, because the colony will produce a new queen, and the worker bee will breed a batch of drones for the new queen to mate before the new queen comes out of the house, which leads to a sudden increase in the number of drones in the colony in a short period of time. It makes us look like the bees in the colony have blackened.

We should pay attention to this phenomenon. If the new queen in the colony has come out of the house to mate, and there are still a large number of drones in the colony, we should pay attention to eliminating the drones, because in a normal colony, as long as the queen has mated the worker bees, it is useless, only to consume honey, which is a burden for us and the worker bees.

5. The queen bee turns black because the queen bee is old

In fact, the queen bee will also turn black. If the queen bee in a colony turns black, it means that the queen bee is old. We should pay attention to the replacement of this kind of queen bee, or let the colony change naturally.

Second, why do bees not come out of the room to collect honey? How to deal with it?

1. New bee colony

There are a lot of wild bee resources in our country, so the main source of bees of many beekeepers in the vast rural areas of our country is to catch bees from the mountains. However, due to lack of breeding experience, bees often use beehives with peculiar smell, do not feed, and so on, so that bees do not want to settle down at all, so they do not collect honey. Even if our method is correct, after all, the newly hived bees still need some time to adjust, so we should at least let the queen bee have a small meeting for the swarm.

So it is normal for newly passed bees not to collect honey in the first few days, but it is normal to collect honey in no more than a week, so we should not worry about this situation. But it should be noted that when our method is correct, that is to say, we choose a good environment for bees, while providing good living conditions, as well as sufficient supplementary feed for bees.

2. Spend the summer

In the hot summer, the temperature in some areas may be too high for bees to stand outside, so bees naturally do not go out of the house to collect honey, but some bees fan the wind at the beedoor to cool off.

In view of this situation, we should not worry, as long as we pay attention to give the bees enough feed, and at the same time take measures to prevent heat and damage, and wait for the temperature to drop, the bees will naturally resume collecting honey.

3. there is no honey source in the outside world.

Many of our friends only pay attention to whether bees collect honey, but often ignore the problem of external honey sources. if we do not see the honey source, the bees will not find the honey source. At this time, the bees will not be able to collect honey at all. Naturally, they won't come out of the room.

In view of this situation, we should feed the bees supplementary feed in time and wait for the arrival of the honey source for the bees to recover honey naturally.

4. The honey in the beehive is consumed clean

We all know that bees eat honey, but people also eat honey, but if we eat all the honey, and there is no honey source in the outside world, and we do not know to feed the bees with reward feed, the honeybees' enthusiasm for collecting honey will naturally decline, and they will probably fly away.

In view of this situation, when we collect honey, we finally leave enough honey for the bees. There is a honey source if the outside world is not cold. In many places, there is a period of lack of honey in summer. If we really want to eat all the honey, at least give the bees some sugar water.

5. Flight precursor

This situation is also easy to happen. When the colony is in danger or the honey in the colony is exhausted or the environment changes seriously and the environment is not suitable for bees to live, it will cause bees to flee. Bees will not collect honey before fleeing. Moreover, the queen bee will not lay eggs, and the worker bee will eat or remove the larvae that have not left the room.

This kind of situation is generally man-made or the colony is seriously threatened. in view of this situation, we should check in time to find out the cause of the flight of bees and solve the problem fundamentally.
