New apple varieties appear! "Ruiyang" and "auspicious Snow" showed up at the promotion meeting, Baishui Apple set a new high.

At the promotion meeting of Baishui apple industry in Shaanxi, Ruiyang and auspicious Snow, a new apple variety with independent intellectual property rights in China, were officially released. This is 26 years later, Whitewater Apple once again walked into the Great Hall of the people. In October 1992, Baishui County held a press conference in the Great Hall of the people, which was the first to promote agricultural products throughout the country.

It is understood that "Ruiyang" is a red late-maturing variety, which was crossbred by "Qin Guan" and "Fuji" as parents. It combines many excellent characters of the two varieties, with high yield, easy management, large fruit shape, straight fruit shape, smooth fruit surface, unique aroma, good quality, storage resistance and sugar content of more than 16%. "Jixiang's Snow" is a yellow late-maturing variety, which was bred by crossing "Qinfu No. 1" and "Pink Lady" as parents. Its fruit is large, the shape of the fruit is correct, the pulp is hard and crisp, the quality is good, the yield is high, and it is resistant to storage. At present, these two varieties have been granted 3 patents, declared 3 patents, and have independent intellectual property rights.

Experts believe that "auspicious Snow" and "Ruiyang" surpass Red Fuji in terms of early fruit, high yield and economy, and its quality is close to that of Red Fuji. It has broad prospects for development in Weibei, northern Shaanxi and similar ecological areas, and is expected to become the main variety with the most potential for apple regeneration in the Loess Plateau. At present, "Ruiyang" and "auspicious Snow" have planted more than 20, 000 mu in Baishui, Shaanxi, with a yield of 3000 to 4000 kg per mu, which can generate tens of thousands of yuan per mu for farmers.

Baishui County is located in the northeast of Shaanxi Province, located in the transitional zone between Guanzhong Plain and the Loess Plateau, and is recognized as the best eugenic area for apples in the world. White water apple has a total area of 550000 mu, with an average annual output of 550000 tons and an output value of more than 3.6 billion yuan. Apple products are exported to many countries and regions in Southeast Asia, European Union and South America. Baishui County sells 2 million tons of processed apples annually, and fruit juices, fruit wine, fruit vinegar, dried fruits and other products have begun to occupy the domestic high-end market. Shaanxi modern fruit industry transaction distribution center and price formation center have been formed, which integrates scientific research, packaging, processing, warehousing and logistics.
