Australian lobster has delicious meat and strong taste. At present, there is a growing demand for Australian lobster in the market. Therefore, many aquaculturists also pay attention to this new aquaculture, so how to cultivate Australian lobster? When will the shrimp fry be released?

When Australian lobster is cultured, when is the right time to release seedlings?

1. Seedling release time

According to the growth cycle and market demand of Australian lobster, it is suggested that the seedlings can be released during the period from early April to early mid-June every year.

2. Shrimp seedling selection

When choosing Australian lobster seedlings, we should choose shrimp seedlings with uniform specifications, sound body and good transport power.

3. Matters needing attention in seedling release

(1) Seedling density: for shrimp fry with a general specification of about 2 inches long, about 5000 seedlings can be put in each mu of pond.

(2) Seedling water level: when releasing seedlings, the water level should be kept above 1 meter, which is helpful to keep the water temperature stable.

(3) delivery location: the placement of shrimp fry should be placed in the shallow water around the shrimp pond.

Second, how to raise Australian lobster?

1. Shrimp ponds

It is best to build a rectangular shrimp pond and set an appropriate slope, but the bottom is flat and slightly inclined to the drainage side, which is convenient for feeding and fishing.

In addition, you can put more shingles, old tires, pvc pipes, bamboo rafts, bricks, old baskets and other hidden things at the bottom of the shrimp pond, so that you can put lobster with "sense of security".

2. Water quality

Keep the water fresh and free from pollution, and the dissolved oxygen should be moderate, at least above 4mg/L, and the ph should be kept between 7.08.0.

After releasing seedlings, the overall water depth should be kept between 0.7 and 1.5 meters, not too deep or too shallow.

In addition, if you can not achieve micro-flow aquaculture, you should change the water frequently, but change the water every half a month.

3. Bait

(1) feeding amount: generally speaking, when Australian lobster is cultured, the daily dry feed is about 8% of the body weight of small shrimp, 5% of the body weight of medium shrimp, and about 3% of the body weight of large shrimp. Bait twice a day, preferably before sunrise and after sunset.

(2) kinds of bait: soybeans, bean cakes, wheat, corn, potato, fish meal, fresh fish, snail, mussel meat, earthworms and livestock and poultry viscera can be used as bait for crayfish.

In addition, legume feed should be boiled in boiling water, otherwise it is not conducive to the lobster's absorption of plant protein.

4. Safety measures

To prevent the attack of rats, frogs, waterbirds, water snakes, water centipedes and other enemies, it is necessary to install a purse seine around the shrimp pond.

In terms of disease, Australian lobster is still very resistant to disease, mainly to prevent parasites, so the disinfection of the pond before release is very important.

Warm reminder: when raising lobsters, it is strictly forbidden to use pesticides, so shrimp ponds should stay away from farmland orchards.
