I don't know if you've ever heard of Muscovy Duck. Muscovy duck is not a domestic duck. Muscovy duck is native to South America. They look strange, hovering between ducks and geese, and they are just as special in weight. Because its meat is relatively fresh and tender, people regard it as a good thing for tonifying the body. In response to the demand of the market, many people began to raise muscovy ducks, so today let's talk about how to raise this kind of poultry.

How to breed Muscovy Duck

Adequate water supply

Newborn ducklings can't drink water. Only after 24 hours can you try to drink a little chemical water with the right concentration. And clean the intestines by the way. If the ducklings have come a long way, then we can give them some water with sugar and provide them with some basic energy. The water temperature is the same as the ambient temperature. After 2 or 3 days, we can add some drugs to it, so that they can be resistant to some diseases from an early age, so that they will not get sick so easily when they grow up. One thing we need to know is that if you start to feed them with water, don't stop. You can't drink water today without drinking water tomorrow. This practice is not recommended.

2. Feed feeding

You can drink water and it means you can eat. After drinking the water, you can feed it in two hours. We can stir the equipped food with warm water and sprinkle it on the plate so that they can freely choose what to eat and put less at a time, so that the food can be eaten by them as soon as possible so that it will not be wasted. After a week, we can feed them a diet containing protein, and it is OK to add some grass to it. We had to feed about seven times a day in the previous week, which gradually decreased with age, and four times a day was enough for a month.

3. Suitable temperature

Generally speaking, we will use gas stoves or some infrared light bulbs to provide heat, we should try our best to keep the temperature at a stable level, the temperature difference between day and night is not too much. Generally speaking, if you are raised at room temperature, the temperature should be kept at about 20 degrees in the first half of the month, and it can be reduced to about 17 degrees in the following month. The temperature we are talking about is based on the fact that the edge of the wall is still 1m away from the ground.

Fourth, light supplement

If the ducklings can receive enough sunlight, then it is also more favorable for their growth. It's best to let them receive radiation every hour in the previous week, and keep it at about 14 hours for the next few weeks.

5. Culture density

The density of rearing also varies with body size. If we are just born, we can put down 25 ducklings per square meter, and by the last week, there may only be 16 ducklings per square meter. We should provide them with enough space and room for movement.
