Generally, medicinal earthworms can be cultivated by using the front and back of houses, courtyard open spaces and old wooden boxes, and vegetable fields can also be used to cultivate earthworms, which can benefit from double utilization. Here is an introduction to the release of earthworms in the field.

Artificial breeding earthworms are simple in equipment and convenient in management. in general, medicinal earthworms can be cultivated by using front and back houses, courtyard open spaces and old wooden boxes, and vegetable fields can also be used to cultivate earthworms, which can be used for double benefits. here is an introduction to the field stocking methods of earthworms.

1. Mulberry Garden Culture method

Generally, mulberry fields with flat terrain and capable of irrigation and drainage are selected, the grooves of 40cm and deep 20~25cm are dug along the rows of mulberry trees, and preliminary mature organic fertilizers are added, such as horse and cow manure, straw, weeds, pig and sheep manure, withered leaves, rotten grass, etc., with organic material 5000~7500kg per mu, covered with soil 10~15cm, and put in human worms for breeding, depending on the worm species and individual size, and green manure or green fodder can be planted between rows. A row of ditches is opened every five lines. The water content is kept at about 30%.

Second, feed field culture

Including planting aggregate grass, broad beans and other perennial green fodder land can be cultured, when breeding, we should choose flat fodder land, open irrigation and drainage ditches every 10 rows, between polymeric grass rows, open wide and deep 15~20cm grooves, apply human organic feed in the trough, and cover the soil with about 10cm, you can put green earthworms for breeding, often pay attention to irrigation or drainage, and keep the soil water content at about 30%.

III. Vegetable garden culture

The vegetable garden has sufficient water and fertilizer conditions and fine management, which is most conducive to the growth and reproduction of earthworms. In the vegetable garden where earthworms are raised, 7500~10000kg high-quality organic fertilizer or rotten vegetables and garbage per mu are applied. After the vegetable seedlings are unearthed, the worms are put into cultivation. In the vegetable garden, the application of chemical nitrogen fertilizer and some pesticides should be reduced, and adult worms can be harvested by stages combined with vegetable management.

IV. Orchard culture method

Using the open space under the fruit trees to cultivate earthworms can not only make full use of the land but also promote the production of fruit trees, such as raising green earthworms, the method is similar to the mulberry garden culture method, such as raising red earthworms (red earthworms), then accumulate mature cow, horse and pig manure with a width of 1.5m and a height of 0.4m along the tree row under the fruit trees, leaving an aisle between each breeding bed and opening a drain every two breeding beds. Cover the feed surface of the breeding bed with straw or wheat straw, keep the humidity 60% 70%, and cover it with plastic film on rainy days to prevent Rain Water from soaking.

Fifth, culture in air-raid shelter

The city air-raid shelter is the basement, which is warm in winter and cool in summer, and the surrounding humidity is high, so it is suitable for breeding red earthworms. The breeding method can be raised in the same box and in the pit, and a lamp can be lit at night, which can not only prevent escape, but also has a certain light source that is conducive to the growth of earthworms.

The above is the introduction of earthworm stocking methods in the field. Green earthworm culture can be selected in areas with many vegetable gardens, orchards and nurseries, combined with field planting and double utilization, which can improve soil fertility and promote plant production. Earthworm animal protein feed can also be harvested, with higher benefits.
