Donkey has high economic use value, in which donkey skin is the main raw material for making donkey gelatin, donkey meat is delicious and nutritious meat, and donkey milk also has high nutritional value. In recent years, with the development of special breeding industry, donkey breeding has attracted more and more attention, so what technical points should be paid attention to in donkey breeding?

Disinfect the donkey house regularly

Regularly disinfect fence houses, roads and donkeys; disinfect the broken ends of the umbilical cords of delivery rooms, female donkeys and newborn donkeys before delivery; disinfect personnel and vehicles in and out of the production area; disinfect feed, drinking water and medical equipment used; disinfect when individuals in the donkey flock have epidemic disease or die suddenly; disinfect large groups of severe infectious diseases at the initial stage and after the epidemic has subsided.

Disinfection method:

Physical disinfection methods such as mechanical cleaning and brushing, ventilation, high pressure and high temperature (pressure cooker boiling, incineration, etc.) and light (sunlight, ultraviolet light), and chemical disinfection methods using disinfectants to kill pathogens, biological disinfection methods such as sealed stacking fermentation, sedimentation tank fermentation and biogas digester fermentation were adopted.

2. Killing insects and rodents

Killing harmful insects, rats and other wild animals in the farm, eliminating the source of infection of the epidemic disease and cutting off its transmission route is another important measure to control infectious diseases in donkey farms. Chemical insecticides are often used to spray large areas of donkey houses to spray mosquitoes and flies inside and outside the field. Anti-mosquito and fly prevention facilities are installed in doors and windows. In order to control rodent damage, we should mobilize all the staff and workers to take action, adopt the method of strengthening the wall and clearing the field, make it difficult for rodents to obtain food, dig up their outdoor nests, fill and plug indoor rat holes, and achieve the purpose of thorough killing, at the same time, the use of effective rodenticide, put in a large area inside and outside the area.

III. Vaccination and regular quarantine

Vaccination is the use of epidemic (bacterial) vaccine to vaccinate healthy donkeys before the disease to prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases. At present, there are few vaccines that can be used in donkeys, and general preventive measures are still needed for many diseases. The usual vaccinations are anthrax spore vaccine and tetanus toxoid vaccine, which are injected every spring.

Fourth, improve fecundity and conception rate

1. Adjust the herd structure and increase the proportion of breeding female donkeys, so that the proportion of breeding female donkeys in the herd will reach 50% and 70%.

2. Rational layout and implementation of artificial insemination to enable as many female donkeys as possible to participate in mating.

3. Get fat and rejuvenate and promote estrus.

4. Improve the feeding and management and maintain the moderate fat condition of the female donkey.

5. The semen quality of male donkey is high, and the quality of frozen semen must conform to the national standard.

6. Timely insemination and mating must accurately master estrus identification, appropriate insemination time and skillful insemination techniques.
