Raising donkeys is a popular breeding project in recent years, and some farmers reduce the cost by introducing female donkeys to give birth. In the female donkey production process, it is easy to appear the phenomenon of placenta, then how to do? How to prevent dystocia?

First, what if the postpartum placenta of the female donkey does not fall?

1. Western medicine treatment

First, diethylstilbestrol 20~40mg intramuscular injection, promote uterine opening, enhance blood circulation to expel foreign bodies. Second, the titer of oxytocin 10~20ml intramuscular injection was the highest within 12 hours after delivery, but beyond 12 hours, the injection effect was not ideal. Third, ergoxin 2~4mg intramuscular injection causes uterine contraction and enhances the excretion of foreign bodies. The fourth is to collect fresh amniotic fluid and 2000ml irrigation. Fifth, intrauterine administration of drugs, in order to prevent placenta corruption, delay corruption dissolution and absorption, antibiotics can be injected into the uterus. Take 2 g of oxytetracycline dissolved in 300ml normal saline, once, once every other day; in order to promote the separation of maternal placenta and fetal placenta, 5%-10% hypertonic saline 1000~1500ml can be infused into the uterus.

2. Surgical treatment

Placenta exfoliation can be used if the placenta does not fall off more than 3 days after birth. Surgical stripping of the placenta is mainly suitable for large livestock, the principle is: those who are easy to peel off, those who are not easy to peel off cannot be forcibly stripped off, so as not to cause large infection; it is forbidden to damage the uterine mucosa in the process of exfoliation; for sick animals suffering from acute endometritis and high body temperature, can not be treated surgically, so as to avoid unnecessary damage; antibiotics should be injected into the uterus in time after exfoliation.

Second, how to prevent dystocia?

1. Whether the early diagnosis is dystocia

The period after the rupture of the allantoic membrane and the excretion of urine is the time when the anterior part of the fetus enters the pelvic cavity. Touch the fetus at this time, if the front part is normal, it can be born naturally; if the fetus is found to be abnormal, it will be corrected immediately. At this time, because the fetal body has not yet wedged into the pelvic cavity, the degree of dystocia is not great, fetal water has not been exhausted, correction is relatively easy, the occurrence of dystocia can be avoided.

2. Provide full-price feed for pregnant donkeys.

The nutrients ingested by female donkeys during pregnancy should not only maintain their own metabolic needs, but also supply the development of the fetus. Therefore, pregnant donkeys should be provided with full-price feed to ensure fetal development and maternal health, and reduce the occurrence of dystocia during delivery.

3. Proper enslavement

Proper exercise can not only improve the utilization of nutrients in female donkeys, but also improve the tension of the whole body and uterine muscles. During delivery, it is beneficial to the transposition of the fetus to reduce the occurrence of dystocia, and can also prevent diseases such as retention of placenta and incomplete recovery of uterus.

4. Don't mating prematurely

If you enter proestrus or begin to breed after maturation, because the female donkey is not yet mature, it is easy to have pelvic stricture during delivery. Therefore, the mature female donkeys should be prevented from mating prematurely.
