Partridge is widely distributed in China, in fact, it is somewhat similar to the life style of chickens. Partridges are a kind of wild birds often eaten in southern China, which are rich in nutrients such as protein and fat. At present, the economic benefit of partridge breeding is still good, in the specific breeding process, how to manage the partridge hatching period? What should be paid attention to when breeding?

How to manage the incubation period of partridges?

1. The male-female ratio during the breeding period

At the age of 4.5-5 months, partridges reach sexual maturity, and the age of mating and reproduction is 180-225 days. At this time, female partridges begin to produce. Generally, female partridges mature 2-4 weeks earlier, and the ratio of male to female is 1: (2-3). When captive, 1: (3-4) adopt free mating, the fertilization rate is relatively high, and the fertilization rate is generally 92% 96%. The hatching rate is 84%, 91%, and the density is generally 4-5 per square meter.

2. Hatching eggs

Choose eggs that are normal in shape, moderate in size and meet the requirements of the breed and soak in 0.2% bromogeramine solution (temperature 30 ℃) for 1-2 minutes and put into the incubator. Note that the temperature in the incubator will affect the temperature of the incubator, so keep the room at 20-25 ℃. The temperature in the incubator should not be lower than 14 ℃, and the temperature in the incubator should be (1-7 days) 38 ℃, (7-16 days) 37.8 ℃, (17-24 days) 37.2 ℃. Generally, 37.2 ℃ should be used from the 23rd day to the hatching plate. (the general incubation period is 24-25 days)

Second, what should be paid attention to when raising partridges?

1. Feeding during the nestling period

From partridge shell to 9 weeks is the most important period for partridge breeding. Keep warm and eat at this time. In the partridge just out of the shell within a week, the temperature of the incubator should be kept at 35-37 degrees, and then decreased by 1 degree a week until its feathers have grown and can adapt to the temperature of the outside world.

Partridges should be easily fed with low concentration of oxytetracycline before feeding, so that their intestines and stomach can adapt. Eating should be carried out within 24 hours after coming out of the shell. When eating, stir cooked eggs with corn and sprinkle them on the wooden board to induce them to peck freely. The mixed feed can be fed the next day, and the air humidity should be controlled at 60% during brooding, which is conducive to the growth of its feathers and bones, and keep the light all day long, which only needs to be kept for 15-16 time after a week.

2. Rearing in the middle stage

Partridge in 10-27 weeks for the middle mature period, feeding is relatively simple, when the partridge rapid growth time, eating large, to maintain adequate feed and drinking water, feeding can feed some mosquitoes live bait, but also need to let it have a certain amount of exercise, promote digestion, let it grow fast.

3. Feeding at the mature stage

When the partridge grows to 28 weeks, it is the mature stage, at this time the breeding is very important. Feeding is mainly based on feed, chicken feed can be used.

In choosing the use of partridges, whether to be used as a seed or for meat, those who do the seed should choose those with strong growth and good libido, raise them separately in groups according to the proportion of male and female at 1:3, and set up egg boxes in relatively dark places in the breeding place. during the partridge laying period to maintain about 18 hours of light, in order to make it lay more eggs; and meat can be sold after one to two weeks of fattening.
