There are several good habits for raising orchids.
First, hands should be disinfected when entering the orchid room. Why? Because you may carry viruses, fungi, bacteria and so on. Soap and running water can be used to passivate the virus, laying the foundation for the next work.
Second, trim the leaves to trim only the necrotic, black and withered parts. Reason: when still green or yellowed leaves are not completely dead, the virus-orchid terminal disease, can be spread in this way. In fact, this is an operation that spreads the most viruses today. In addition, these leaves do not completely transport nutrients before death. It takes a lot of nutrients for such a small plant to grow such a section of leaves. Countermeasure: applying antibiotics to the place where the necrotic leaves are cut can effectively stop the spread of the disease.
Third, pay attention to the prevention and control of bacterial diseases. Except for physiological diseases and abiotic diseases, only biological diseases are left. It is estimated that everyone knows very well how to control pests in biological diseases, and it is no problem to prevent the spread of viruses. The key is that VIPER found that many orchid friends could not distinguish the harm of fungi and bacteria. As soon as they had symptoms, they sprayed thiophanate and carbendazim. As a result, the root flora was destroyed and the bacterial diseases were not cured. The characteristic of bacterial disease is that the incidence of bacterial disease is much less than that of fungi, but the incidence is very rapid, especially after rain. Some leaves are water-scalded, transparent and rapidly growing, and most of them are damaged by this bacteria.
Countermeasure: prevent and cure with streptomycin. If it is not convenient to buy in the city, you can go to the drugstore to buy small bottles of penicillin for injection. The concentration can be referred to streptomycin.
Fourth, scissors should be used in turn. Scissors are often the biggest culprit in the spread of diseases. So 10% formalin can be added to medical alcohol. After the first plant is pruned, wash the scissors in solution, soak them, and change another one to get a plant.
Fifth, do not flood so that any virus you can think of can spread.
Sixth, good ventilation, this is second only to the important condition of lighting, if you do not understand, or switch to grow mushrooms.
Seventh, the soil temperature can be raised appropriately. Specifically, it can be solved by covering thermal insulation material or providing hot air discharged from the room. The temperature had better have a temperature difference, hot during the day and cold at night, so that the inhibition of respiration at night is conducive to the accumulation of sugar. If it is constant temperature and humidity, then it is impossible to talk about strong seedlings.

Selection of plant materials for orchid cultivation
In the first chapter, if we want to raise orchids well, we will first encounter the problem of what kind of planting material to choose. In order to select a good plant material, it is necessary to understand the growth characteristics of orchids. We know that orchid leaves have sunken stomata, incomplete respiration, and rely on roots to help breathe; orchids grow in humus-rich, loose soil.

Characteristics and maintenance of Jian Lan (Siji Orchid)
Sijilan is a kind of Jianlan series, also known as Xialan, Qiulan and so on. Jianlan is mainly produced in Fujian, which was once known as the hometown of Jianlan. Jianlan is widely distributed, south of the Yangtze River in China or on both sides of the Yangtze River basin, and on both sides of the central hillside of Taiwan. Under the forest, shady wetland or miscellaneous wood forest below 1500 meters above sea level, foggy land facing south.
