Peacock belongs to a category of special breeding, and there are many species, such as blue peacock, black peacock, flower peacock, white peacock, green peacock and so on. However, breeding peacocks is not so simple, first of all, according to their own needs to buy suitable varieties of peacock seedlings. How much is the peacock seedling? How to raise it?

How much is the price of a peacock seedling?

The price of a peacock seedling is about 70,100yuan, depending on the specification, variety and quantity, etc., usually about 80,100yuan a shell seedling, 100,120yuan a week, and 120,140yuan a month. If you plant a peacock, it is generally sold by a group of about 1000-1200 yuan, and a group (1 male and 4 females) is about 5000-6000 yuan. Under normal circumstances, a female peacock with good physique can lay 30-40 eggs a year.

Second, how to raise peacock seedlings?

1. Start drinking and eating in time

On the first day after hatching, the residual yolk in the peacock seedling can meet the needs of the body and can be fed without artificial feeding. To prevent dehydration, only a small amount of lukewarm water can be given. To disinfect the gastrointestinal tract and quickly replenish physical strength, 0.01% potassium permanganate can be added to drinking water or penicillin and a small amount of glucose can be added at a dose of 1000 units per peacock. The young peacock should be fed 24 hours and 36 hours after it came out of its shell. For the first time, half-cooked millet or chopped rice or chopped corn can be sprinkled on plastic sheeting for food recognition training. In the next few days, a small amount of chopped vegetable leaves and a certain amount of cooked and powdered egg yolk can be gradually added (10 ~ 15 young peacocks are fed with 1 egg yolk per day). The feeding times are 5 ~ 6 times a day.

2. The right temperature

At the beginning, the temperature in the incubator was 34 ~ 38 ℃, and the temperature in the room was 28 ~ 30 °C. In general, the temperature of 1-week-old brooding is 33-35 °C, 2-week-old 32-33 °C, 3-week-old 28-31 °C, and then decreases 1 °C every 2-3 days. A week later, when the weather is fine, the young peacock can be placed outdoors to make it slowly adapt to the external environment, climate, temperature and so on. After 30 days of age, the temperature can be removed gradually and artificial heating can be stopped. At the beginning, the temperature is off during the day, it is still heated at night, and when the temperature drops, it is necessary to assist heating appropriately. Generally speaking, no less than 20 ℃ should be taken before the end of brooding.

3. Reasonable density

Reasonable feeding density can increase the appetite of chicks, increase the amount of exercise, weaken the intensity of response to abnormal stimuli in the feeding environment, save barns, feeding equipment and feeding personnel, and facilitate production management. However, if the feeding density is too large, it will cause wet bedding, uneven feeding and drinking water, uneven development of young peacocks, pecking and disability. As the cone peacock becomes larger and larger, the feeding density should be gradually reduced. Generally, the rearing density is 12 ~ 15 animals per litter at the age of 1 ~ 3 weeks, and 5 ~ 8 birds per litter at the age of 3 weeks ~ 60 days.

4. Suitable grouping

In brooding, due to the differences in physique, quality and gender of young peacocks, there are often different sizes of young peacocks, strong birds grazing for food, weak birds lack of food, affecting the balanced weight gain of the population. Therefore, male and female, strong and weak nestlings should be reared in groups in time in order to facilitate feeding and management. Special care should be given to weak chicks. The large population of chicks can lead to uneven growth and development and addiction, therefore, the population of peacock chicks should not be too large, generally 20 ~ 30 per group, no more than 50 at most.

5. Strengthen ventilation and ventilation

Due to the strong metabolism of peacock seedlings, more harmful gases such as carbon dioxide, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide are produced by respiration and excretion, especially in the later stage of breeding and maintenance. These harmful gases will pollute the air and affect the health of young peacocks. According to the environmental hygiene requirements, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the brooding room shall not exceed 0.15%, and the concentration of ammonia shall not exceed 0.002%. Therefore, we should often open doors and windows, strengthen air circulation, so that the indoor air is fresh, so that people do not feel asked. In order to ensure that the ventilation does not affect the heat preservation, the ventilation can be carried out at noon on a sunny day, or another buffer room can be set up at the vent, so that the cold air outside can not directly enter the dimensional room, so as to reduce the rate of temperature drop.

6. Scientific feeding

Water fountains and feed batches should be arranged rationally. To ensure that each chick can drink water and eat feed, the chicks that have not eaten the feed should be fed separately. The young peacocks at the age of 5 ~ 7 days can start to be fed with artificially prepared full-price feed for 4 ~ 5 times a day, and then gradually reduced to 3 ~ 4 times a day. When feeding, we should adhere to the principle of adding a small amount frequently, and it is appropriate to feed just after eating no leftovers, so as to prevent feed waste and residual material pollution and deterioration.
