Swimming crab meat tender, white, rich in a variety of nutrients, can be eaten fresh, or steamed, or fried, eating a variety of methods, many people like to eat. So how do you raise swimming crabs? When is the fattest? Here is an introduction to the breeding method and the fattest time of swimming crab.

First, how to raise swimming crabs?

1. Prepare the site

Swimming crabs are generally raised in ponds. It is necessary to choose ponds near sea areas with sufficient water sources, no pollution, rich resources of small fish, shrimp and shellfish, and convenient access and drainage. The area is generally appropriate for small and medium-sized ponds of 10 murals and 20 mu, with a depth of more than 5 meters. The sediment quality of the pond is better, and the bottom of the pond should be covered with sand about 15 centimeters.

2. Pond consolidation

After selecting the pond, it is necessary to clear the pond, mainly to remove too much silt from the bottom of the pond, to loosen and expose the bottom of the pond, but also to maintain the pond embankment, gates, canals and other supporting facilities, and put obstacles such as cement pipes, tiles and bamboo tubes on the bottom of the pond. After half a month of clearing the pond, the floodgates are opened and the sea water is filtered with a net to prevent pests from entering the pond. The pond is about 80 centimeters deep. After entering the water, cultivate bait organisms and keep the transparency of the pond water at about 30 centimeters.

3. Stocking crab seedlings

It is generally released from late May to mid-June, and the size of the seedlings is 80 / kg. The stocking density of crab seedlings with neat specifications, strong physique, complete appendages, strong vitality and soft shell rate less than 10% is 1000-1500 / mu. Keep water temperature above 18 ℃, daily temperature difference less than 8 ℃, salinity 18-32 ‰, pH 7.8-8.6, dissolved oxygen more than 5 mg / L, transparency 30-40 cm.

4. Bait feeding

Swimming crabs are omnivorous animals, like to eat shellfish, fresh fish, shrimp and so on, as well as algae sprouts, but the young crabs tend to be omnivorous, the bigger the individual is, the more carnivorous they are. They are fed once in the morning and evening, less in the morning and more in the evening. The crab was fed at about 8% of the total body weight in the early stage, 12% in the middle stage, 5% in the later stage, 3% when the water temperature dropped to 10-15 ℃, and no feeding when the water temperature was below 10 ℃.

5. Daily management

Change water every 3 days in July, change water every 2 days from August to September, and every 5 days in October; inspect the pond once in the morning and evening, carefully observe the feeding and activity of swimming crabs, the change of water, the situation of residual bait, whether there are breakages and loopholes in gates and dams, etc. Pay attention to the prevention and treatment of viral diseases, bacterial diseases, fungal diseases, parasitic diseases, photoluminescence disease, emulsification disease, carapace canker and other diseases.

When is the swimming crab the fattest?

Swimming crab Grain Rain before and after the most plump crab, it is warm perennial large crab animals, crabs swim to the shallow water at the end of March to lay eggs, the middle and late April is the peak spawning period, from the first baby crab stage to mature stage, generally takes 3 years, and Grain Rain before and after the crab body is the fullest, although it can also be caught in autumn, but not fat.
