What kind of feed does Mandarin Fish eat?

According to the growth specifications and food intake of sweet-scented osmanthus fish, it is necessary to cultivate and produce sufficient sweet-scented osmanthus fish ponds which are 3-4 times the area of sweet-scented osmanthus fish ponds.

Mandarin fish feed for bait fish, its species are: silver carp, bighead carp, mud carp, wheat carp, tai carp, crucian carp, carp, etc., the feed coefficient is generally 4-5. According to the growth specifications and food intake of mandarin fish, pond culture with 3-4 times larger area than mandarin fish pond is used to produce sufficient bait fish for feeding mandarin fish. Artificial culture of mandarin fish can be fed pellet feed.

1. Early bait fish: 1 - 2 million fry (fish flowers) of silver carp, bighead carp, mud carp, wheat carp, tai carp and crucian carp shall be pre-stocked in each mu of pond prepared for stocking mandarin fish as early bait fish for mandarin fish. After feeding coarse feed such as peanut bran and wheat husk for 15-20 days, when the bait fish grows to 1.5-2.5 cm long, it can be put into 2-3 cm laurel fry for cultivation after disinfection with 0.7ppm copper sulfate and 0.5ppm strong chlorine.

2. Medium-term bait fish: 200,000 - 300,000 fish fry such as mud carp, wheat carp and Thai carp can be mixed in each mu of the four big fish ponds, and fry such as silver carp, bighead carp and crucian carp can also be cultivated in special ponds as bait fish for large-sized mandarin fish.

3. Later bait fish: In addition to self-production, it can also be purchased. In the later stage of culture, it is generally winter, and the dace bait fish is easy to freeze to death. Therefore, some bait fish such as silver carp, bighead carp and crucian carp should be cultivated to overwinter, which can be used as reserve bait fish for mandarin fish in winter and spring.
