Anglers all know that the red worm is a good bait, because the red worm has many inherent advantages, such as being an eye-catching red and rich in protein, so it is a rare high-quality food for fish in winter. then nature has a strong attraction for fish. What kind of food does the red bug eat? How do you usually raise it?

What kind of food do red insects eat?

Red insects mainly feed on organic detritus in mud, especially bait with sweet and sour taste. Livestock and poultry manure, domestic sewage and wastes after processing of agricultural and sideline products are their main sources of bait.

Most of the red insects live on the banks of the river basin or in the sludge at the bottom of the river, which is dense with the sludge surface, one end is fixed in the sludge, and the other end stretches out the sludge to quiver in the water. The nutritional value of water earthworm is very high. It should be rinsed repeatedly in clean water before feeding. It is not only the favorite food for goldfish and koi, but also the main food for eel seedlings and young soft-shelled turtles.

Second, how do red insects usually be raised?

1. Select red worms

First of all, the bugs bought are those that have just come back, so that they can be fed for a long time. Let's talk about this year. When the water is cool in autumn, fishing crucian carp and sea poles will talk faster than earthworms. If there are no red worms in Hong Kong, they will bring back some of them from elsewhere. When they come back, some of them will die. As a result, no matter how they are done, they will not work for half a month. When ice fishing was about to start, some fishing gear shops came back with red worms. The day after the bugs came back, I bought more than one or two bugs and kept them in a basin. As a result, none of them died in the previous week. This means that bugs must buy new ones that are fresh and can be kept alive for a long time.

2. Culture density of red insects.

The density of raising insects should not be too high. If the density of insects is high, it is easy to die. I usually raise one to two stainless steel pots of 30 centimeters. The density is just right, and the water is basically full.

3. Change water frequently

The water should be changed once a day, and put it in a cool place. If it is not cold, put it on the shady windowsill near the window, so that it can be cooler. Generally, there will be a heater under the windowsill, there is a temperature below, and the bottom of the basin is lined with a foam board, so it can be insulated. The water for raising red insects had better be kept for a day so that the water temperature is close to that in the basin, and the worms are easier to live.

4. Clean the red worm utensils frequently

First, wash the basin. After pouring the worms into the screen every time you change water, wash the basin well with clean water. At this time, the basin will have some mucus on it, sticky, wash all these down, wash the basin clean, second, wash the worms from the basin, rinse the bugs in the screen with water, and rinse the mucus and dirt on the worms.

5. Pick up dead bugs

Is to pick up the dead bugs every time you change the water or before changing the water to ensure that there is no dead bug blood in the water to pollute the water.
