Modern people like to pursue indoor environment embellishment, often raise some flowers and plants, ornamental fish at home, but also can increase vitality. So, if you want the fish to grow well, what are the requirements for the water for fish culture? Can water that has been raised with fish be used to water flowers?

What are the requirements for fish water?

1. Well water

Generally speaking, the well water is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is rich in minerals and is suitable for raising fish. There are two kinds of well water: deep well water and shallow well water, of which shallow well water is more suitable for fish culture. The well water should be exposed for 12 to 36 hours according to the depth of the stratum, which is more beneficial to the health of the fish.

2. Spring water

Spring water is an underground warm water source, the water quality is relatively pure, and the content of all kinds of organic matter is rare, there are many soluble salts, and the growth of fish culture with spring water is slow, so we should try our best to ensure the balance of water temperature.

3. Distilled water

Distilled water is characterized by no oxygen or very little oxygen, so it is not suitable for fish culture. If you want to use it, you should be exposed to the sun and wait for sufficient dissolved oxygen.

4. Rivers and lakes

River and lake water is a natural water source, because it has extensive contact with air and sunlight, the content of dissolved oxygen is high, the PH value is between 7.0 and 8.0, and there are more plankton. Using these kinds of water to raise fish is helpful to the bright color of the fish. However, it is very important that it must be an excellent source of water without pollution.

5. Tap water

The most common and convenient way to raise fish is tap water, which is an artificial water source. Every household uses tap water, and the water quality is relatively clean. It contains less impurities, bacteria and harmful substances, and can be used to raise fish. However, it should be noted that the content of chloride ion in tap water is high, and it is easy to cause poisoning if it is directly used to raise fish, so there is a very important link before use, that is, dechlorination treatment.

1. Drying method: using the drying method to remove chlorine, to expose the tap water in the sun, the exposure time is determined according to the chlorine content in the water body, generally more than 48 hours. If it is cloudy or sunny, a basin of tap water needs to be kept for 4-5 days to achieve the goal of dechlorination.

2. Chemical method: if there is no water available under special circumstances, when tap water must be used immediately, it is necessary to use chemical dechlorination. The method is to add 2 to 3 grams of baking soda (sodium thiosulfate) per cubic meter of tap water and stir the water slightly. The dechlorination process can be completed in about 30 minutes.

Can the water from fish culture be used to water the flowers?

First of all, the water of fish culture is rich in nutrients, which may have no effect on the human body, but the excrement of fish is very beneficial to the growth of plants, which contains certain elements of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

Secondly, since you want to use fish culture water to water flowers, you also need to keep the fish culture water clean. For example, in addition to our normal, feeding small fish, do not add some other substances, dirty water can not be irrigated to plants. However, some friends reported that the leaves turned yellow when they were watered with fish water, but she later confirmed that it was due to some rotting of the roots caused by excessive watering.

If you are not at ease, you can also pour out the water for fish culture, filter it with a filter, and then water the flowers and plants. Not only fish water, we usually drink leftover beer, as well as expired yogurt, can be diluted with water to irrigate plants and plants, these substances are very beneficial to the growth of plants.
