Cultivation technique of Shrimp and Rice Co-cultivation

General situation of rice and shrimp co-cropping model is to promote the single planting model of ordinary rice field to a three-dimensional ecological planting and breeding model, that is, Procambarus clarkii is cultured during rice cultivation, and Procambarus clarkii and rice grow together in the paddy field. This production mode can be fully beneficial.

I. Overview

The mode of "rice-shrimp co-cultivation" is to upgrade the single planting mode of ordinary rice field to the three-dimensional ecological planting and breeding mode, that is, to cultivate Procambarus clarkii during the rice planting period, and Procambarus clarkii and rice co-grow in the rice field. This production mode can make full use of shallow water environment and winter fallow period of paddy field, effectively improve economic benefit per unit area of paddy field, realize dual-use of one place and double harvest of one water, and further reduce agricultural non-point source pollution and aquaculture tail water pollution.

II. Technical highlights

(i) Geographical conditions

Beautiful surrounding environment, smooth roads, clean water quality without pollution, water and electricity supporting, drought and flood worry-free.

(ii) Paddy field transformation

Select concentrated contiguous areas, separated from the surrounding common farmland water system, rice field single area of 20 mu is appropriate, convenient for management, feeding and fishing. Along the periphery of rice field, excavate ring ditch with width of 2m~3m, depth of 0.6 m ~ 0.8 m, slope ratio of 1: 1.5 or more, and the field ditch accounts for 10%~15% of rice field area. The water inlet is provided with 80 mesh double-layer silk screen cloth, and the water outlet is provided with a dense mesh screen cover with more than 40 meshes.

(iii) field cleansing and disinfection

75kg quicklime water or 10kg~15kg tea seed cake leaching solution is used to sprinkle the whole pool per mu.

(iv) Fertilization

500kg of fully fermented organic fertilizer +15kg of calcium superphosphate are applied per mu, then rotary tillage is carried out, and the burying depth is 10cm~20cm. Fertilizers are used to cultivate aquatic plants and feed organisms, and are also base fertilizers for rice. The breeding process is regularly enhanced with photosynthetic bacteria and EM bacteria.

Key technical points of rice-shrimp co-cultivation model

(V) Water grass planting

On the second day after fertilization, Elodea was transplanted along the shallow water of the ring ditch. Before transplanting aquatic plants, use Fule Ling to kill moss, and use tea saponin to kill fish eggs on aquatic plants. 3 ~5 plants are transplanted into a cluster, the spacing of each cluster is 1m~2m, 25kg potassium dihydrogen phosphate is sprinkled per mu to promote growth, and the water plants account for 60%~70% of the paddy field area. In the middle and late stages of seedling cultivation, amino acid biological fertilizer can be applied to maintain the normal growth of aquatic plants and cultivate natural bait.

(6) Shrimp seedling stocking

In the middle and late March, 30kg~40kg of juvenile shrimps with the specification of 80 ~ 100/jin are put into each mu of paddy field, and 3%~5% saline water disinfection is needed for 3 minutes ~5 minutes before the seedlings are put into the pond. Seed transportation: purchase seedlings nearby, transport them with water for oxygenation or semi-water, and the transportation time shall be less than 2 hours.

(7) Management

Escape prevention: The ridge is constructed with mesh and plastic film, 60cm~70cm high and 30cm~40cm buried in soil at the bottom.

Bird prevention: there are many waterbirds after spring, and the water level in rice fields is shallow, shrimp seedlings are easy to be preyed on, so birds can be driven by pulling lines in rice fields.

Feeding: Daily feeding amount is 3%~5% of body weight, evenly sprinkled feeding, feeding types are wheat, corn, small miscellaneous fish, etc.

(viii) Fishing

Harvest time: April ~ June (before rice planting),

Fishing method: put shrimp cages in the middle of the ring ditch and field for fishing, catch large and throw small, make up rotation and release, and change the position of the cage every 2 ~3 days.

(9) Source of seeds in the second year

After the lobster is not caught, it enters the ring ditch and is induced to reproduce by artificially regulating the water level.

(x) Rice cultivation

Medium japonica rice should be selected and double row planting method with large ridge should be adopted. Planting time: June to early July every year.
