Technical points of artificial insemination in Pigs

During artificial insemination, the vas deferens must be slowly inserted along the upper wall of the vagina and rotated and pushed to enter the uterine body through the cervix. The insertion depth of vas deferens is 23-30cm; avoid sunlight, electric light and other light, in short, semen needs darkness; deal with semen well. The sperm motility of the semen transfused should not be lower than grade 9. The amount of insemination at a time should be between 30ml and 40ml. Before insemination, the semen should be slowly heated to about 35 ℃. The insemination device should be completely cooled before insemination.

The depth of the vas deferens is 23cm to 30cm (depending on the size of the sow). If it is too deep, the degree of sperm acquisition is not enough, it is not easy to conceive, and it is less likely to give birth; if it is too shallow or mistakenly into the urethra, it is more difficult to conceive. The speed of semen injection should be appropriate, and it is better to finish the injection slowly.

If the insemination device is boiled and sterilized, it should be completely cooled before insemination.
