1. Master the feeding time. We should make sure that the feeding time is the same every time, not sooner or later. Feed 1-2 times a day, you can feed when the sun comes out in spring and summer in the first half of the year, and around 9 o'clock in autumn and winter in the second half of the year. Do not spread food in the evening. A small amount of food can be fed at 3 pm at the latest.

2. Control the amount of food. At the beginning, you can try to cast, if the quantity is small, the goldfish may still be looking for food after eating, and you can increase the quantity next time. Every feeding ensures that every fish can get fodder. If the food between the fish is serious, the weak goldfish that can not eat can be fished out and fed separately. The amount of food can be less or less, goldfish can endure hunger, and too much food rot and fermentation will pollute the water quality.

Second, the choice of goldfish feed

1. Synthetic feed. This is a regular choice for raising goldfish in our family, and it is relatively easy to buy. However, to go to the formal market to buy, to ensure that the nutrients in the feed are complete. There are four different forms of artificial feed:

⑴ pellet feed: this is our commonly used fish feed. As the small size and light particles generally float on the surface, goldfish need to swim up to eat, which is more suitable for the raising of goldfish.

⑵ thin slice feed: this kind of feed is high on hands and feet. Generally, after entering the water, some of them sink to the bottom of the water, and some of them are on the surface of the water, ensuring that different kinds of goldfish can eat food in many directions.

⑶ powdered feed: goldfish eat when the feed sinks into the water, but the gap in which the feed falls into the bottom of the tank is not easy to be found by the goldfish; we can also puff the powdered particles before feeding to prolong its suspension time in the water. This kind of feed tends to muddy the water.

⑷ patch feed: this feed is generally used as a supplementary feed, suitable for feeding more lively, strong species of goldfish. The method of use is to paste the feed on the glass of the fish tank.

2. Animal feed. Qualified owners can occasionally "eat meat" for their goldfish. This kind of feed is mainly water earthworms, fish and insects, migratory water, cyclopsylla and so on. This kind of feed is rich in nutrients and is also a favorite of goldfish. However, because it is fed in a domestic fish tank, long-term feeding is not recommended, otherwise it is easy to bring hidden dangers of diseases and insect pests to goldfish.

3. Plant feed. In addition to the above two kinds of feed, goldfish also eat some plants, such as Wuping, aquatic plants, xanthophytes, diatoms, wheat bran and so on.
