Crucian carp eats lobster seedlings. Crucian carp is omnivorous bottom organisms, it will eat crayfish seedlings and crayfish feed, so it is best not to mix crucian carp fry and lobster fry. But if the crucian carp is larger, it can be mixed with a small amount of lobster.

Matters needing attention in crucian carp culture:

1. Water quality

Crucian carp is similar to the four major domestic fish, the water quality requirements are not high, conventional culture ponds can be raised, slightly fatter than grass carp ponds. From July to September, microecological agents (such as Bacillus subtilis, photosynthetic bacteria and other products) can be used once or twice a month to regulate water quality to control harmful indexes such as ammonia nitrogen and nitrite in ponds.

two。 Disease control

The improved Japanese white crucian carp have relatively strong disease resistance, less explosive diseases and relatively easy to deal with. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job in fish health management and water quality regulation in the process of fish culture, so that fish disease prevention can be done well in the fish disease outbreak season from June to July.

3. Mixed culture

Crucian carp belongs to bottom fish, which is similar to mud carp and carp. Generally speaking, crucian carp ponds are no longer mixed with mud carp and carp. Crucian carp is omnivorous fish, and the requirement of feed protein is slightly higher than that of grass carp. You can choose high-grade grass carp feed and channel catfish mixed feed.

4. Density aspect

When farming crucian carp, it is enough to cultivate about 1500 per mu of land. The most important thing is to look at the depth of the water. If the water is relatively deep, you can cultivate more. Basically, about 2.7m can reach 1800. But when the crucian carp is also slowly growing up, if it grows to a certain extent, it needs to reduce the density of culture.

Crucian carp is not recommended for monoculture. Proper use of 1/10 of the total crucian carp species is beneficial to the growth of crucian carp. But mixed culture is best to choose docile species, must not mix with the more ferocious carnivorous fish like blackfish.
