How to breed leeches is the best way? Now many farmers begin to raise leeches, but there are also many farmers who can't keep alive. What's going on? Let's have a look.

1. Water quality requirements. As the leeches do not have very strict requirements on the living environment and water quality, they can also grow in dirty water, but the density of artificial breeding will be very high, so try to keep the water quality clean and have a certain amount of dissolved oxygen for leeches. If the water temperature is kept at 15 to 30 ℃, leech farming should stop feeding below this temperature, and if it exceeds this temperature, it will affect growth. Pay attention to the appropriate replacement of culture water.

2. The requirements of feeding bait. General artificial breeding leeches can choose snails as natural feed, supplemented by earthworms, insects, etc., but also can choose the blood of all kinds of animals. Snails should be put into the culture pond at one time, so that they can reproduce naturally, so that leeches can eat freely. However, it should be noted that snails can not be put too much at one time, or they will compete with leeches for living space. In order to make the leeches grow faster, feed the animal blood once a week and put the blood donation clots into the culture pond, but clean up the leech residue in time so as not to pollute the water.

3. Leech reproduction. Artificial breeding should build a place for leech breeding, put an appropriate amount of humic soil in the breeding ground, and increase the content of organic matter in water. The breeding of leeches begins in early May, and the breeding peak is in mid-May. When it lays eggs, it should keep the environment quiet and do not walk around the shore, so as to prevent the leeches from being frightened and unable to reproduce normally.
