For medium ducks and fattening ducks, feed can be prepared with 50% corn, 17% wheat, 12% wheat bran, 10% chopped rice, 5% vegetable cake, 4.5% fish meal, 1% shell meal and 0.5% salt.

To feed the ducklings, prepare troughs and drinking fountains for the ducklings to eat and drink. For ducklings just out of shell, a plate with a size of 60 × 35 cm and a height of 2.0 cm to 2.5 cm can be used. For 2-week-old ducklings, they can be fed in a long trough or disc with a depth of about 4 cm and 5 cm. For the ducklings who have just come out of the shell, an automatic drinking fountain can be used. After 3 weeks, the drinking trough should be used and the depth of the water should be soaked into the nostrils of the ducks.

To ensure that ducks are full and eat well, attention should be paid to feed collocation to form a balanced diet. Cereals can be powdered and granulated in half or all, mixed with other feeds and mixed with water to feed them dry and wet; fresh goods should be boiled thoroughly and green fodder should be fresh. Feed should be given at a fixed time, usually three times a day, in the morning, at noon and in the evening. If it is summer, it can be fed in advance and postponed in the evening.
