Is a beetle an insect?

Beetles are insects and are the largest of all insects. At present, there are about 350000 species, almost all of them from deserts to tropical rain forests. Among them, the common ones are unicorn fairy, beetle, weevil, dung beetle, step beetle, tiger beetle, Tainiu, Jiding beetle and so on.

1. Unicorn fairy

The male unicorn has a horn process on its head, which is a powerful weapon when fighting with other males.

2. Beetles

Beetles are large in size, bright in color, generally green, shiny and textured, and many people use them as ornaments.

3. Weevil

The trunk of the weevil accounts for half of the length of the body, but it is not the nose, but its mouth.

4. Dung beetle

Dung beetles, also known as dung beetles, are known as "earth scavengers". They often accumulate fresh droppings in a horn bar like an iron cane, and are afraid of hitting the ball. while they beat the dung ball with their forefoot and walk with their hind foot, the dung ball rolls bigger and bigger, and the female insects lay eggs on it.

5. Step beetle

Step beetles are not good at flying. Most of them move on the surface, move very quickly, or dig tunnels in the soil.

6. Tiger beetle

The tiger beetle, which has many colorful colors, is a carnivorous insect that often forages on the road.

7. Longicorn beetles

There are many kinds of longicorn beetles, their bodies are slender and cylindrical, their antennae are long and thin, and their hind wings are well developed, making them very suitable for flying.

8. Gibberellin

The surface of the body has a lot of metallic luster, and most of the colors are unusually gorgeous.

What do beetles eat?

Beetles have a wide range of diet, including cadaveric saprophytic, feeding, parasitic, fecal, herbivorous and so on. Herbivorous is what farmers hate most, because most of these species are major agricultural and forestry pests. However, many of the predators are good for people, because most of their insect food is plant-based pests. There are also some beetles that have medical value.

One of them is a very aggressive insect spade. Its adults like to eat leaves, juices and honey, while larvae like to rot and usually live in the roots of trees. Most adults come out at night and have phototaxis. But there are also kinds of activities that go out during the day.

Because of its large size and strange shape, it is favored by most people and collected, and some are even kept as pets.

Longicorn beetles are beetles. Like to eat leaves or tender bark; golden beetles eat tree leaves, dung beetles (dung beetles) like to eat decaying substances in human and animal faeces; beetles feed on earthworms, snails, etc. Ladybugs feed on aphids (some species feed on plant juices, are pests) and an aquatic beetle that feeds mainly on plankton. So different kinds of beetles have different eating habits.

Generally speaking, beetles are insects and can be seen everywhere in life, such as longicorn beetles, dung beetles, beetles, weevil and so on.
