Turtledove is a kind of animal with high edible value, and it is also an important agricultural breeding project with high breeding value. Pearl-necked turtledove is a common turtledove distributed in South Asia, Southeast Asia and southern China.

The life habit of turtledove with pearl neck

1. Eating habits: the turtledove mainly feeds on plant seeds, especially crop seeds, such as rice, corn, wheat, peas, soybeans, beans, rape, sesame, sorghum, mung beans and so on. Sometimes they also eat maggots, snails, insects and other animal food.

2. Foraging: the beaded-necked turtledove usually leaves the perch tree to look for food on the ground after dawn. Often call for a while before leaving the habitat. Foraging activities are more active at 7-9 am and 3-5 pm.

3. Living alone: like other turtledoves of the same genus, turtledoves generally do not live in groups, but appear alone or in pairs. The bead-necked turtledove is a gentle bird, but the sudden noise will startle them, fly in a similar posture to the crested dove, and its tail will tilt up when landing.
