Earthworms live in the soil, it has many functions, can be used for fishing, fish, chicken, can be used as medicine, has the effects of clearing heat, calming the liver, relieving asthma and dredging collaterals. So, how can earthworms not die?

1. Build an earthworm bed.

Generally use straw to build earthworm bed, first spread straw, then spread feed, then spread straw, and so on. Ensure that the width of the worm bed is about 50 cm, and there is an appropriate distance between the worm beds.

2. Stocking earthworms

Choose suitable earthworms, such as Daping II, not only have a larger size, but also have a longer lifespan, have a strong reproductive ability and are easier to raise. Put the earthworm on the earthworm bed and wet the earthworm bed at the same time.

3. Feed feeding

Earthworms are omnivorous animals that feed on decaying organic matter. Cow dung, pig manure, straw and weeds can be used as feed when breeding. The feed formula is 100% cow dung, or 50% cow dung, 35% pig manure, 150% straw, or 50% pig manure and 50% straw / weeds. Feed must be fully fermented and ripened so as not to cause earthworms to die. Feed 2-3 times a month, each time thickness 10cm.

4. Daily management

The best breeding temperature for earthworms is 20-27 ℃, the relative humidity of the air should be kept at 70%, 80%, and ventilated 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes each time. If the temperature is low in winter, you can thicken the wormbed, cover the bait with wheat straw or rice straw, cover it with plastic sheeting, or light a stove, which must be filled with a smoke pipe to prevent gas poisoning. The temperature is high in summer, combined with ventilation, water is watered once a day to cool down.

5. Timely harvest

When the number of earthworms reaches 15000 to 20, 000 square meters, the large earthworms should be collected and stacked in time. Earthworms have different habits of mother and offspring. when the number of offspring is too large and the density is too high, the old ones will move away, and inbreeding will also lead to the decline of earthworms. The earthworm species can be changed every 3-4 months, and the bait can be replenished in time after harvesting and stacking.
