Conch is a warm marine species, mainly lives in the low tide line, the water depth of 1-30 meters of broken coral bottom of the shallow sea. The meat is tender and smooth, slightly sinewy and fragrant. So, how to raise conch?

1. Culture environment

When breeding conch, we should pay attention to control the culture environment, do not culture together with other shellfish, stay away from the same kind of shellfish, prevent the snatching of nutrition and the phenomenon of struggle. Determine the culture quantity according to the funds and culture technology, and then reasonably control the culture area. The farm should be surrounded by an iron net to ensure that it is strong enough to prevent conch escape or other shellfish from entering the culture area during the culture process. Insert an appropriate amount of small bamboo pole into the purse seine to help the conch climb up the bamboo pole to breathe when there is high temperature and lack of oxygen in summer.

2. Seedling selection

The seedling selection of conch is very simple, generally fishing in the ocean, choosing fresh live snails in the garden, such as lighter color, intact shell and thin shell. At present, the number of artificial breeding in China is relatively small, and it is only sold in a small number of docks in coastal provinces. After selecting the seedlings, wash them clean, and then put them into baskets for uniform speed, pay attention to the stocking density when stocking, never be too dense, and sow evenly in the pre-prepared breeding area. Then do a good job of management to ensure the growth of conch and improve the survival rate.

3. Feeding management

After stocking, we should pay attention to the sea water temperature and control the water temperature at about 15-30 degrees. Conch belongs to omnivorous shellfish. In artificial culture, the feed is mainly small fish, shrimp and shellfish. We should also pay attention to the content of diatoms in the sea water, because the conch will also feed on diatoms, so when there are fewer diatoms, we should increase the amount of diatoms and vice versa. The feeding of conch should be checked in about 3 days to prevent excessive feeding from deteriorating water quality, blackening sediment and causing diseases and insect pests of conch. If the pole climbing phenomenon, it is necessary to timely increase oxygen, adjust the water quality, and promote the growth of conch.

The conch has strong adaptability, but the growth rate is accelerated in the suitable environment, so we should pay attention to the change of water quality in the process of culture. In addition, it should be noted that conch is not suitable for culture in fresh water.
