1. Build a pigeon house

If you want to raise meat pigeons, you have to build pigeon houses. You can choose to build them in high-lying, dry, well-ventilated, sunny places facing north and south, or you can use ordinary houses or old houses for renovation. A pigeon cage should be prepared in the pigeon house, which includes pigeon nest, food trough, health sand cup, drinking fountain, perch, anklet and so on.

2. Buy breeding pigeons

You can buy breeding pigeons to breed and raise themselves. at the age of 6 months, pigeons are sexually mature, with a hatching period of 18 days and a "breast-feeding" period of 30 days. A pair of pigeons breed 812 pairs of young pigeons per year, while squab can be sold after only 25 or 30 days of feeding, weighing up to 500,750g.

3. Feed the food

The plant protein feed of meat pigeon mainly includes pea, broad bean, mung bean and black bean, animal protein feed includes fish meal, shrimp meal, blood meal, meat and bone meal, energy feed includes corn, rice, rice, millet, sorghum, barley and wheat, and green feed includes cabbage, spinach, carrots and tender grass. 4. Daily management

(3) the bedding should be increased or decreased according to the changes of season and temperature to ensure that the pigeons do not catch cold, with more hay in winter and spring and less in summer and autumn.

(4) Pigeon is easy to suffer from diseases such as pigeon pox, pigeon candidiasis, avian cholera, feather lice, enteritis, trichomoniasis and so on.
