Golden pearl is a kind of mariculture pearl, the price is more expensive, is the material of many jewelry, has been loved by the public. So where is the origin of the golden pearl?

I. Origin of golden pearls

Golden pearls are mainly produced in Myanmar, New Guinea, India, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, China, Thailand and other places. Golden pearls are produced from White lipped or Gold Lipped. Because of their huge size, they can be cultivated into white or golden Nanyang pearls of 9~16mm.

II. Place of origin

Myanmar has cultivated white Nanyang pearls for about 50 years. It has produced golden pearls as well as white pearls. It is reported that the best quality golden pearls were produced about 15 years ago. In order to meet the needs of the world for white pearls, stop the cultivation of golden pearls and switch to white Nanyang pearls. Malaysia has stopped producing the best quality golden pearls.

Japanese golden pearls are produced in the Okinawa area around Amami Island. Okinawa is originally a place for raising marine pearls. The pearls produced in Okinawa are different from those of other countries.

Australia is a rising star in the cultivation of white Nanyang pearls and has become the country with the largest production and income of white pearls in the world, as well as golden pearls. The pearls of the place range from light yellow to golden yellow.

In Hainan, China, there are not only marine pearls cultivated by Marsh shellfish, but also white-lipped shellfish, black-lipped shellfish, and white and black Nanyang pearls. Thus it provides the basic conditions for the production of golden pearls.

Although golden pearls are currently produced in Myanmar, Malaysia, Japan, China, Australia and so on, the output is small, and in general, golden pearls are symbiotic or associated with white Nanyang pearls. Indonesia is the only country in the world that raises golden pearls independently.

III. Market

As the cultivation of golden pearls is difficult and the production quantity is very small, there are very few golden pearls that can be used. It is extremely difficult to choose a symmetrical golden pearl necklace from a large number of pearls, which often takes 6 to 12 months. Indonesia produces mainly yellow and golden pearls, which account for only 4% to 8% of the total white Nanyang pearls. At present, the annual output of Nanyang pearls in the world is 2250 kg, while the theoretical output of golden pearls in the world is only 100kg, and only 1000 golden pearl necklaces can be made. It can be expected that the price of golden pearls will continue to rise.

The price of golden pearls is expensive and the quantity produced is relatively small. If you have aquaculture technology, you can try farming.
