The tortoise is a relatively auspicious creature since ancient times, and the golden head turtle is a very excellent species of turtles, with both appearance, taste, nutrition and medicinal ingredients. Many people have begun to raise golden-headed turtles, so how to raise golden-headed turtles?

1. Feeding

The beetle has a wide diet and can be fed with any food, eating 2% of its own body weight. Golden-headed turtles are terrestrial turtles, rarely launched into the water, and can be separated from the water source for a long time. Artificial breeding can be kept in one place. If you do not build a pool, you only need to put a basin. Artificial feeding can be done within 0 ℃-43 ℃, feed over 16 ℃-18 ℃, hibernation below 13 ℃, allowing turtles to survive the winter in sand or hay, or in indoor containers, which are very safe.

Second, growth

Golden head turtles grow faster, with an average length of 30-40 grams per month during the feeding period, up to 80 grams at the earliest, and begin to breed when weighing 400-500 grams. Occasionally, 250 grams of turtles can also breed. Female turtles lay 8-20 eggs a year, the maximum egg weight is 36 grams, and the natural hatching rate is about 80%. After artificially controlled temperature hatching, the hatching rate can reach about 96%. Golden head turtles can generally grow to 1-2 kilograms, extremely strong vitality, rare disease and death, the longest life span can be more than 200 years. The golden-headed turtle cannot be used as a green-haired turtle because its upper body floats on the water and the green hair cannot take root on its back.

3. Breeding grounds

Artificial breeding golden-headed turtles can be raised in orchards, bamboo orchards and vegetable gardens to feed on crop pests without feeding, but also can be mixed with frogs, toads and other turtles. In a corner of the farm where chickens, ducks and geese are raised, insects are cultivated with poultry droppings, and golden turtles are released without having to be fed separately. Turtles can also feed on mosquitoes, flies, midges, cockroaches and other pests in poultry farms, and can also prevent chicks from being attacked by snakes.

Golden head turtles still belong to a kind of turtles that are very easy to raise, and the requirements for the environment are not high, so it is very convenient to raise them.
