Clam is often seen in our life of aquatic products, its meat is delicious, slippery but not greasy, many people like to eat, the market demand is also relatively large. How do clams come from?

How to raise clams?

1. The clam farm has several rigid requirements: convenient transportation, no pollution sources and smooth tidal current. The bottom quality of the farm is required to be stable, and the beaches in the middle and low tide areas with a sediment content of 70% and 90%, and ponds with suitable sediment and water quality conditions are all good choices.

2. The tidal flat (or pond bottom) which has been cultivated continuously for many years needs to be turned over and improved. After the sediment is washed by the tide and exposed to the sun many times, the beach surface is leveled and the enemy pests and sundries are picked up. Chengdi, which is vulnerable to flood erosion and sediment cover, should be diked with awn grass for flood control. The width of the dike is 30cm to 40cm, and the dike is 20cm to 30cm higher than the surface of Chengqi, so as to stabilize the surface and prevent the loss of seedlings.

3. Select the natural beach as the breeding site, the sand thickness of the beach is more than 0.3 meters, the sand is soft and clean, the beach is relatively flat, and the sea water layer is covered or exposed obviously when the sea water rises and retreats, and the thickness of the sea water layer is 0.8 ±0.4 meters at high tide. The enclosure height is 20-30 cm, and a block is set on the outside of the enclosure. The aquaculture beach was pre-disinfected and soaked in 5-10ppm concentration chlorine dioxide seawater solution for 24 hours at low tide, then washed with high tide seawater.

4. In order to raise clams in ponds and beaches in the reclamation area, the dams and sluices should be renovated. One month before seeding, the pond water should be drained, the bottom of the pond should be exposed continuously for 15-20 days, and then the whole pool should be disinfected with bleach. After disinfection, soak in filtered seawater for 2-3 days, drain the pond water, and repeatedly soak and drain 2-3 times. After cleaning the pond, the water depth is 30-50 cm. Urea 0.5-1 g and calcium superphosphate 0.1-0.5 g per cubic meter were used as the basic bait every 2-3 days to make the water color light brown to facilitate the growth of clam.

5. Pay attention to the temperature of breeding Meretrix Linnaeus. When the water temperature is below 10 ℃, the clam stops growing. If farmers raise clams in shrimp ponds, they should control the height of the water surface at 30-50 cm.

6. The seedlings can be sowed according to the specifications of the seedlings, the small seedlings are generally from April to May, the medium seedlings are from December to February to March of the following year, and the large seedlings are before spawning. There are two methods of sowing seedlings: dry sowing and wet sowing. After dry sowing, the clam seedlings are sowed evenly after the low tide is exposed to the ground to prevent them from piling up. Wet sowing is the uniform sowing in the areas where the tide is slow, the sowing time is long, and the survival rate is high, but it is only suitable for large and medium seedlings.

7. During the cultivation period, we should always check and remove the seriously harmful enemy organisms in time, and pay attention to the water quality. When storing water and raising clams in the reclamation area, we should pay attention to the changes of water color and apply 0.5-1 grams of urea per cubic meter every 2-3 days in sunny days to keep the water color light brown. If the color of the water becomes clear and the bait is insufficient, 1 gram of soybean milk can be fed per cubic meter as a substitute bait.

8. The breeding of Meretrix Meretrix Linnaeus is in summer, when the high temperature can easily lead to death and corruption, the seedling can be sterilized by precipitation, ultraviolet rays, or sprinkled with bleach powder. In order to inhibit the overreproduction of clam seedlings, 1-2 grams of oxytetracycline can also be added to each cubic meter of the pond.

After 1-2 years of cultivation, clams can be harvested when the shell is 3 cm long.
