Any of various large oval-shaped, mostly black or brown beetles of the family Cerambycidae, having metallic luster, solid skin, large and protruding antler-shaped jaws, large and strong heads, and knee-shaped antennae. So how to raise spade worms?

1. To have a breeding box or jar, you must keep it cool and ventilated, then spread sawdust about five centimeters thick on the bottom of the box, put in a few pieces of wood (the beetles like to lay eggs in the wood) and put in the captured beetles. Note that the male spade bugs compete with each other, so only one male female can put one or two.

2. you can feed it with sweet and sour jelly, jam and fruit. Don't let the fruit rot. The life span of adult spade worms is 1 to 2 years. If all the spade worms you raise are dead, you should pay attention to whether they have laid eggs. As long as there is a small hole in the wood, it means that they have laid eggs.

3. Then water the wood and sawdust to keep it moist when the wood and sawdust are dry so that the larvae are suitable for growth. When the larvae grow up in the wood and become adults, they come out to look for food, and then you can see the spade worms again.
