When it comes to parrots, everyone must be familiar with them. They are not only lively and lovely, but also learn to talk to people after raising them for a long time. They are very lovable. How to raise the nestling parrots?

I. temperature requirements

The appropriate temperature for chicks from 1 to 14 days of age is 36.5-34 degrees, and the appropriate temperature is 32-30 degrees from 15 days of age to initial feathering. Try to maintain the feeding environment at about 28 degrees from primary feathering to weaning.

2. Feeding requirements

When feeding, try to feed with milk powder, and the appropriate temperature for dispensing and feeding should be controlled between 38 and 40 degrees as far as possible. When feeding, it is best to use a special spoon or syringe close to the nestling's beak. Generally speaking, the nestling will automatically ask for food when it comes into contact with the spoon or syringe, but when the nestling is unwilling to open its mouth because of nervousness or unadaptability, we can gently pry the nestling's mouth open with a spoon or syringe, and then inject a small amount of warm milk powder, which will help the nestling to start asking for food automatically. As for a small number of chicks who still don't ask for food automatically, they need to try it a few more times.

The specific feeding times are as follows: those who are 0-2 weeks old are generally fed once in 3-4 hours; those who are 2-4 weeks old are generally fed once in 4-6 hours; those who are 4-6 weeks old are generally fed four times a day; those over 6 weeks old are generally fed three times a day. Those over the age of 8 weeks can start weaning, but sooner or later, it is recommended to feed some milk powder, and Chinese food can be fed with fruit or nourishing pills. When the birds are over 10 weeks old, they have been weaned, but it is recommended to feed them again in the evening.

III. Requirements of growth environment

You can choose cartons, plastic finishing boxes (available in supermarkets) or plastic aquariums (available in aquariums). Normally, larger pet boxes are gradually replaced as the nestling grows, but if the conditions do not permit, you can choose a larger box at the beginning to facilitate the nestling's activities. A net is placed at the bottom to separate the poop and prevent the danger of being eaten by chicks and sticking to the cloaca. Providing a clean and comfortable environment for nestling is positively helpful to the healthy growth of nestling. If the chicks are older (they have begun to practice weaning), they can also place a perch at the bottom of the box or cage so that the birds can begin to practice the pole, which is of great benefit to the development of their feet and adaptation to the stand later.

Fourth, lighting requirements

In addition to using a professional incubator, the general bird can use ceramic light bulb or frosted light bulb to replace, generally use 10W-40W light bulb (depending on the size and ventilation of the pet box), the light bulb in use because the surface temperature of the light bulb is higher, it is recommended to install a lampshade or hang the light bulb higher before use, in case the nestling accidentally scalded, the light bulb is recommended to be installed in the corner of the box. After the nestling is fully feathered, the bird can be changed into a birdcage or a larger space to provide a better life ring. At this time, if the room temperature can reach more than 20 degrees, then there is no need to take heat preservation measures, but when the low temperature is lower than 20 degrees, the heat preservation must be restored.
