The 14th China greenhouse Conference and 2015 Annual meeting of China greenhouse Horticulture Industry with the theme of "adapting to the New normal of economy and discovering New Power of Market" was solemnly held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, from November 12 to 14. A series of thematic activities such as China greenhouse 2015 Innovation Achievement Exhibition, Henan first Flower Horticulture Materials Exhibition and Trade Fair, Professional discussion and Open Summit Forum were carried out around the future facility agriculture. Representatives of relevant enterprises and institutions from 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, as well as internationally renowned manufacturers from 12 countries and regions, including Australia, the United States, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Israel, and experts from national scientific research institutions, as well as representatives of greenhouse planting and planting enterprises, a total of more than 600 people attended the summit and discussed in depth the development trend of the industry in the future. Experts at the meeting pointed out that China is a large country in facility horticulture in the world, and if we want to move from a large facility agriculture country to a powerful country, we need the government, enterprises, scientific research institutes and the broad masses of farmers to jointly drive innovation and development.

Greenhouse horticulture in China began to explore and develop in the 1980s and developed rapidly in 1996, especially after entering the new century. In 2008, the Ministry of Agriculture issued opinions on promoting the development of facility agriculture, which injected new vitality into the development of facility agriculture in our country. Various localities actively implement supporting policies and constantly push through the old and bring forth the new. The Ministry of Agriculture has organized 14 provinces, cities and regions to cooperate to solve some problems in the development of solar greenhouse. The climate of minus 20 degrees in winter can also produce fruits and vegetables, and the new cultivation techniques have greatly increased the yield. In 2014, the greenhouse area of China reached 2.0797 million hectares (mainly solar greenhouses, plastic greenhouses and multi-span greenhouses), accounting for 80% of the world's total area, effectively ensuring a seasonal balanced supply of vegetables, meat, eggs, milk and other agricultural products in our country. it has also led to the development of greenhouse engineering building materials industry, agricultural film, machinery and equipment, seed fertilizer and other related industries, and the per capita share of facilities vegetables and melons has reached 190kg.

After more than 30 years, China's facility horticulture industry has been greatly developed, at the same time, it has also become an important means to increase farmers' income. Combing the course of development, the industry representatives at the meeting admitted frankly that compared with many international advanced regions, China is not yet a powerful country in facility horticulture, and there is a large gap between our output, labor productivity and water and fertilizer use efficiency compared with developed countries. the equipment capacity of our facilities is very strong, but there are no products with independent intellectual property rights and Chinese symbolic elements, especially at present, we do not have a unified industry organization. There is no standard production standard, and there is also a lack of some long-term and sustainable support policies and a sound social service system. Li Zhi, director of the organizing committee of the conference, said: unlike any mature science and technology in the past, greenhouse technology is a brand-new, cross-disciplinary and comprehensive field of technology. In order to make the facilities industry develop healthily, every year since 2002, we have combed the gains and losses of facility horticulture in the form of annual meetings, so that all aspects of the industry can communicate at all levels and promote the healthy development of the industry. People in the industry attending the meeting said one after another that over the past 14 years, through the research platform of the annual meeting, they have exchanged face-to-face exchanges with representatives of national and international advanced industries, updated ideas, solved problems, and learned more about the new demand of local producers for horticultural facilities, market trends and the latest technological developments, so as to adjust their development strategies in a timely manner.

This summit invited 50 domestic experts from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agricultural University, South Agricultural University, Central China Agricultural University, Northwest University of Agricultural Science and Technology, and Beijing University of Technology to discuss the development trend, innovation and change of facility horticulture industry, as well as industrial technology, policies, achievements, "Internet +" management and other topics for three days. Experts at the meeting pointed out that China has become a big country in facility horticulture, and how to take advantage of the opportunity to become a world power in facility horticulture in the future needs to be discussed jointly by people of insight in the whole industry. Yang Qichang, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and chairman of the greenhouse Engineering Special Committee of the International Horticultural Association, gave a theme report on "the Road to a powerful country in Facility Horticulture-- reference and thinking on the Development path of developed countries." it is through constantly tackling key problems that it is difficult to change disadvantages to form a unique facility horticulture power. What do we lack, and what should we pay attention to in the development of facility horticulture industry according to our needs? This is what we need to think about when we move into a powerful country of facility horticulture. Yang Qichang put forward a 16-word formula for a powerful country in facility horticulture: leading by science and technology, supporting industry, ensuring talents and improving services. First of all, in the future development, it is necessary to establish a greenhouse system with energy conservation, thermal insulation and efficient utilization of resources as the core. The area of a single solar greenhouse should reach a scale of more than 1200 to 1500 or even 2000 square meters, and the land utilization rate should be increased from the current 40% to more than 90%. Applying thermal insulation and heat storage technology to the large-scale and connecting pillars of the greenhouse, it is an important contribution to the international community that China can explore a new way in this regard. Second, improve the utilization efficiency of solar energy and renewable energy, combine the mature foreign soilless cultivation technology with the seasonal characteristics of Chinese greenhouse, form a cultivation system with Chinese characteristics, develop smart soilless cultivation, and improve the level of mechanized equipment. Third, we should have the idea of the whole industrial chain, and form a complete industrial chain of machinery and equipment from seedling breeding, sowing, cultivation, harvest, processing, grading and packaging to improve the industrial efficiency of the whole industry. Fourth, strengthen the talent strategy, including innovative talents in international undertakings, innovative talents in research and development, enterprise talents opened up in international markets, and professional farmers. On this basis, we should establish a sound social service system, establish a long-term and stable state support and subsidy policy, encourage financial institutions to invest and support, and let the government, enterprises, scientific research institutions and farmers jointly drive the four carriages. Let scientific research and agricultural cooperation and farmers dock closely, the results are closely combined with actual production, and truly realize the seamless docking of farmers, enterprises and scientists. Let the special varieties and cultivation techniques be widely used and share the technology and achievements, so as to form a huge industry with great contribution and influence to the facility horticulture in the world.

Representatives of experts attending the meeting said that there have been a lot of happy events in the facility horticulture industry this year. This year, the No. 1 document of the Central Committee proposed to improve the comprehensive agricultural productivity, the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to establish a horticultural crop standard park, and the Fifth Plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee just held proposed to vigorously promote agricultural modernization and develop resource-saving and environment-friendly enterprises. the development of efficient and low-carbon agriculture and green cleaner production are all closely related to the facility horticulture industry, and the national "Belt and Road Initiative" strategy It is planned to build demonstration zones for international facility horticulture cooperation in more than 50 countries along the route. It is hoped that the industry will seize the opportunity to create a better tomorrow for China's facility horticulture industry in the course of integrated development.
