The role of Lactic Acid bacteria in Aquaculture
Lactic acid bacteria are widely found in livestock, poultry intestines, many foods, materials and a few clinical samples. It can not only improve the nutritional value of food, improve food preservation and added value, but also attract people's attention because of its special physiological activity and nutritional function. So, what role can lactic acid bacteria play in aquaculture?
I. the role of lactic acid bacteria in aquaculture
1. Promote the absorption of protein, monosaccharide, calcium, magnesium and other nutrients, and produce a large number of beneficial substances such as vitamin B.
2. Increase intestinal beneficial flora, improve gastrointestinal function, restore intestinal flora balance, inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, form antibacterial biological barrier, and maintain fish health.
3. Inducing food to promote growth.
4. Restrain the reproduction of spoilage bacteria, eliminate the toxins produced by spoilage bacteria, and remove intestinal garbage.
5. Immunomodulatory effect, enhance fish immunity and resistance.
6. Improve water quality: degrade pond organic matter and reduce nitrite.
7. Cultivate algae with fertiliser and water and increase oxygen indirectly.
Matters needing attention in the use of lactic acid bacteria
1. Because of its own physiological characteristics, lactic acid bacteria need to use 40-50 ℃ of stable water and 1:1 glucose to provide energy. There is no need to increase oxygen in the whole process, and the sealed fermentation condition is the best.
2. Because of the acidity of PH needed for its growth, the effect of mixing and feeding is better for the ponds where PH is above 8.2.When sprinkling in the whole pond, it is recommended to activate it in the morning and use it in the evening.
3. Ponds with less algae should be used with biological water culture agents to prevent the water from becoming clearer.
