Treatment of non-estrus in sows

Pigs are full of treasures, and the market is in great demand. Raising pigs is a technology. Only by taking good care of the pigs in the pigsty can we get high-quality products. Sow estrus is related to the development of pig herd, in the process of feeding, there will always be some sows without estrus. What is the reason for this? What does sow not estrus cure method to have?

First, the reason why sows are not in estrus.

1. Physiological defects and genetic defects are caused by congenital factors, such as imperfect development of reproductive organs, bisexual pigs, abnormal secretion of hormones and so on. In addition, the presence of seasonal reproductive inferiority genes may also cause seasonal sows not to be in estrus.

2. Non-estrus caused by some infectious diseases or gynecological diseases, such as porcine eperythrozoonosis, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine pseudorabies, porcine brucellosis, Japanese encephalitis, small, chlamydia, and so on, can lead to reproductive dysplasia in pigs, so that pigs do not have estrus or estrus is not obvious, resulting in reproductive disorders.

3. Sows are too thin and can not keep up with nutrition, which leads to non-estrus. The lack of vitamins and trace elements in the feed of reserve sows or the presence of mycotoxins in the feed can cause sows not to be in estrus.

4. Excessive nutrition can lead to excessive fat in sows, fat infiltration in ovaries, degeneration of adipocytes in follicular epithelium, follicular atrophy or ovarian cysts, and non-oestrus in sows.

5. Sow weaning too late, sow weight loss in lactation above 15kg, resulting in poor physical condition, resulting in delayed estrus or no estrus after weaning.

2. Treatment of sows without estrus

Choose the treatment method according to the reason why the sow is not in estrus.

1. If there are congenital dysplasia in reserve sows, they need to be eliminated first.

2. Slow estrus sows can drive the boars to the sow barn, make them climb and smell the sows, so as to stimulate the sows to be in estrus. This is good for sows in estrus, but should be controlled for no more than 15-20 minutes at a time.

3. After feeding in the morning, the breasts of non-estrous sows are massaged round and round for about 10 minutes a day for 1 week.

4. The fat sows only need to be fed with the usual amount of 2x3. After 4-7 days of semi-starvation, the feeding amount can be increased, and then 4-5 days of feeding can promote oestrus.

5. Use food or medicine to promote estrus. Boil 0.15-0.5kg brown sugar in a pot, then fry 500-1000ml into the feed, mixed for 5-7 days, twice a day, can also be pregnant horse serum, chorionic gonadotropins, etc., strictly according to the instructions for injection or feeding.

6. Sows with good estrus should drive out of the enclosure twice a day, and the time should be controlled at about 1 hour.

7. If there is no estrus caused by the disease, the sows should be treated according to the condition to restore their health.
