It is said that the earliest orchid work to record Xie Pei is Shangyu Feng Zicai's "continuation of Lanhui with one mind". In this orchid work, Fang Tu Jiuyi, Mr. Feng describes the cymbidium: "Jianggao Xiepeimei, Chihui lotus-shaped daffodils." . The color is green, the edge is tight, the meat is thick, the shoulder is flat, the silkworm moth is as big as the tongue. When it blossoms, it grows bigger and bigger, and the good species are also good. " Xie Pei is deeply loved by orchid growers for his circular leaf posture, vigorous and beautiful flower appearance. It is known as Song Mei in Huilan.

Jingjiang is the first in the world.
Yu Xiu Lan Yuan Lu Mingxiang, Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province
Xie Pei, the famous flower of Huilan. The orchid was selected by Zhang Ailan in Shanghai in the early years of the Republic of China. The word "Xiepei" comes from the word "Yong Lan" written by Yang Shen, a poet of the Tang Dynasty: "incense with full sleeves seems to meet Xie Pei, Jiangxian scattered the dust." So it's named. Xie Pei, the leaf posture obliquely drape is arched, the leaf is narrow, the leaf section is "v" shaped, the leaf is slightly pointed and long, the leaf color is dark green, especially shiny, about 40 Mel 50 cm long. The flower bud is tight and round, and the shell color is obviously red to green. The scapes are slender, up to about 45 cm, with emerald green stalks and bright purplish red florets, with 11 flowers per scape. When the buds bloomed, the outer three petals were small and narrow, and the petal width gradually increased and relaxed within 3 days. The outer three petals were angular, tight and thick, and the calyx on both sides were flat and shoulder-length. Xie Pei divides the nest white jade to hold, the core column can be seen on the back of the heart, the root of the tongue is not exposed, it is as big as the tongue, and there is an obvious hook tip at the front end. As a result of Xie Pei small flower stalk purplish red, petals white jade, so it has the reputation of "red hairpin Jasper". Its flower color is clean green, the flower posture is vigorous, the flower product is correct, the fecundity is strong, the growth is exuberant, easy to rise the flower, the aroma is rich. It is the Huilan Jiapin that everyone loves. Jingjiang people raise Xiepei, which has a long history and a long story. In the early years of the Republic of China, Liu Rongqiu, the owner of a bank in Jingjiang, bought Xiepi and other varieties from the Rong family in Wuxi at the price of "rice and a seedling." unfortunately, during the Anti-Japanese War, he was completely looted by the Japanese devils. Fortunately, the son of the boss of Jingjiang Yuheng bad house was Liu Xinzhi (then Jingjiang County Stadium instructor and later Jingjiang County Middle School PE teacher). Before the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he introduced several pots of orchids such as understanding Pei to Liu Rongqiu. Jingjiang was occupied by Japanese devils in 1937. Liu Xinzhi took nothing with him when he fled, but took a few pots of orchids with him. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he continued to raise the orchids and put the people's Park warm room for the winter every winter. In 1965, Liu Luping, director of the people's Park, successively obtained four pots of famous orchids such as Xie Pei from Liu Xinzhi, such as treasure, carefully cultivated, and focused on the development of orchids in the park. During the Cultural Revolution, orchids became fragrant poisonous weeds and were listed by the Red Guards as targets of destruction. The park hid Xizang in the east of the orchid, and Xie Peimei had to be preserved. After several years of development, the number of Xie Peimei in Jingjiang people's Park has greatly increased, and now it has reached nearly 10,000 seedlings. The Annals of Landscape Architecture of Jiangsu Province contains: "Liu Luping, director of Jingjiang people's Park, specially opened the Orchid Garden to collect famous species." Among them, the number of Xie Peimei ranks first in the country. In May 1987, Jingjiang Xiepei participated in the China Flower Expo held in Beijing for the first time and won the award for high quality exhibits. " At the same time, Xie Peimei is also widely spread among people who love orchids in Jingjiang, and the number of folk collections also ranks first in the country. for those with a large number, such as Liu Luping, there are more than thousands of seedlings and generally hundreds of seedlings. It can be said that those who raise orchids in Jingjiang must have several pots. Among the thousands of pots of relief in Jingjiang, there are also some people with peculiar forms, which are quite eye-catching. Such as Jingjiang orchid friends call it "big flower pee", the leaf width is more than 1cm, the leaf groove is shallower and "u" shaped, the leaf frame is higher, the leaf clump is more majestic, the flower bract mercurial red shell, the upper part is not tight empty up to 1cm, its flower is larger than the general pee, but the flower shape is similar to that of the pee, and the core column can also be seen on the back. As Jingjiang orchid friends call it, the leaf width is also as wide as 1cm, the leaf posture is hanging, the leaf groove is shallow, the short positions in the upper part of the bud are also up to 1cm, the pedicels are black-purple when they just take scape, turn green later, and the flowers are larger than the general petals, but the flower shape is also similar, and the core column can be seen on the back of the heart. At the Hangzhou Orchid Exhibition in 2000, Liu Luping (vice president of the Orchid Association of Jiangsu Province) sent four pots of Xiepei to the exhibition, three of which won the prize, which is said to be controversial. Most of the judges thought that only one of the four pots was Xiupe, and the other three boxes were not. The year before last, I met a non-local orchid friend. when I went to his house to see the orchid, he pointed to a pot of Huilan and said to me, "this is what I introduced from the local idea of Chimou, your Xie Peimei in Jingjiang." I am very surprised, isn't this our "Daye Xiepe" in Jingjiang? How does it become a "rare treasure" that everyone wants to pursue in other places? At the end of the year before last, a famous orchid farmer from other places asked me for the "weeping leaf Xiepe" of Jingjiang, and was willing to exchange it with another basin of more famous rare varieties. I was puzzled at first, but later I learned that this kind of "weeping leaf Xiepe" was raised by them as another species. Last autumn, we visited a famous orchid expert in southern Jiangsu and told him that many kinds of photos in his orchid books were written by Jingjiang Xiepei, which aroused his interest. then he made a special trip to Jing to introduce a pot of "Da Hua Jie Pei" back to study, and soon he called and said: this pot of orchids is "xx Xinmei". It is understood that after these exhibitions were introduced in other places, as many as five or six flower names were crowned, and they have become top-notch or rare treasures. Unexpectedly, the value of the "Xie Pei" who spread from Jingjiang to other places has doubled! Are they not Xie Pei in the first place, but famous products that have been buried for many years? Is it possible that there were other varieties introduced by Boss Liu at that time, which were collectively called Xiepi? Are they new varieties differentiated and mutated from Xiepe? What kind of breeds are they? This has become an inextricable mystery to the Jingjiang people who have raised Xie Pei for nearly a century. Because of this, the orchid farmers in Jingjiang cherish these Fae "Xie Pei" very much, and even the selling price is a little higher than the general Xie Pei. Now, due to the large number of suitors, most of them hesitate to sell, so they have become a mysterious species that can be expected but not available. Beautiful, Jingjiang Xie Pei! It has a long history, legendary; its number, the first in the country; its taste, people pursue; the answer to its riddle, people to study. No wonder orchid friends in Jingjiang want to proudly say: Jingjiang is the first in the world!
