With the improvement of people's consumption level, the demand is also diversified, many people like to eat donkey meat food, donkey skin products with high medicinal value, these needs promote the development of the aquaculture industry, but there are also many problems in the breeding process. What are the common diseases of donkeys? How to prevent and cure it?

Common diseases of donkeys

The common diseases of donkeys are influenza, pneumonia, infectious bronchitis, serous arthritis, acute gastric dilatation, scabies mite infection, gastric myiasis, intestinal spasm and so on.

Second, how to prevent and cure the common diseases of donkeys

1. Influenza

(1) condition: donkey influenza virus exists in respiratory mucosa and secretions of diseased donkeys. When sick donkeys cough and sneeze, they spray secretions with the virus to form droplets floating in the air. Healthy donkeys will be infected after inhaling such droplets. There are many seasons with changeable climate.

Diseased donkey snot is watery at first, then becomes turbid, sticky and grayish white, and some are purulent or mixed with blood. The body temperature can reach 39.5-42 ℃ and the respiration increases.

(2) treatment: penicillin and streptomycin can be injected into muscle twice a day. Antongding 10ml 20ml, Daqing leaf or Banlangen injection 10ml 16ml, intramuscular injection, twice a day.

Traditional Chinese medicine can be selected as follows: 30 grams of Radix Isatidis, 30 grams of Folium Isatidis, 30 grams of Fructus Arctii, 30 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 15 grams of Platycodon grandiflorum, 30 grams of Bupleurum, 25 grams of Gardenia jasminoides and 25 grams of licorice. Once a day. In severe cases, fluid replacement should be carried out.

2. Infectious bronchitis

(1) illness: infectious bronchitis is mostly prevalent in early spring and late autumn, and the incidence of infectious bronchitis is very high within 2 days. If there is no secondary infection, the mortality rate is very low. The main clinical feature is dry and dull painful cough.

(2) treatment: isolate the donkey immediately when the disease occurs, and put the sick donkey in a clean, dry, dust-free warm place to recover quickly. The disease can be cured after 7-10 days without secondary infection. If there are complications, it can be treated according to the cough-based pneumonia prescription.

3. Serous arthritis

(1) condition: also known as joint synovitis, is the exudative inflammation of the synovial layer of the joint capsule. It is common in tarsal joint, knee joint, ball joint and wrist joint. Joint deformation, there can be three oval bulges with soft and fluctuating swelling, which are located in the anterior medial side of the tarsal joint, behind the lower end of the tibia and in front of the calcaneus. When the three swells are pressed interactively, the liquid flows back and forth. In the acute stage, heat, pain and swelling were significant, and claudication was also obvious. When standing, lift and flexion the affected limb, or land on the tip of the hoof, with moderate lameness. The joint of the disease is thick and unclear, especially in the synovial caecum between the three straight ligaments of the knee.

(2) treatment: cooling therapy is used in the initial stage of acute inflammation; after relaxation, thermotherapy or wet bandages, such as saturated saline wet bandages, fish stone alcohol bandages, etc., can be replaced once a day. For chronic inflammation, you can repeatedly apply iodine camphor ether mixture, warm compress immediately after application, or external application of traditional Chinese medicine.

When the exudate is not easily absorbed, the syringe can be used to extract the joint fluid, and then quickly injected into the heated 1% procaine solution 10g 20ml, penicillin 200000 ~ 400000 units. Finally, install the compression bandage, and apply vinegar under the bandage to adjust realgar powder, and regularly add vinegar to the bandage to maintain the effect of realgar. Change realgar powder and bandage once every other day, can be used several times. For both acute and chronic inflammation, hydrocortisone can be used for subcutaneous injection or injection into the articular cavity, intravenous injection of 10% calcium chloride solution 100 ml for several days.

4. Acute gastric dilatation

(1) condition: acute gastric dilatation is a kind of abdominal pain caused by overeating and gastric evacuation dysfunction.

Primary gastric dilatation usually occurs suddenly within 1-2 hours after eating or during severe exertion immediately after feeding.

Moderate intermittent abdominal pain occurs at the beginning (the interval of abdominal pain is 10-30 minutes), but it soon turns into persistent severe abdominal pain. The sick donkey keeps getting up and lying down, or walking quickly, rushing forward, and individual sick donkeys are in the dog sitting position.

Secondary gastric dilatation begins with primary symptoms, severe abdominal pain, followed by belching, and a large amount of sour fluid with grass residue flows out of the nostrils. The systemic symptoms are severe and the pulse is fast and weak. After the liquid is derived, the sick donkey will be quiet, recur in a certain period of time, with repetition, and the interval becomes shorter.

(2) treatment: using gastric tube to expel gastric gas is an important method for the treatment of primary acute flatulent gastric dilatation. Then infuse chloral hydrate alcohol mixture through gastric tube: chloral hydrate 10g 20g, 95% alcohol 30ml 50ml, heated water 300ml, dissolve and mix, one time. Or use lactic acid 15ml 20ml, alcohol 100ml 150ml, paraffin oil 500ml, add the right amount of water, one time.

Flatulent stomach dilatation, after the gas is excreted with the stomach tube, take the antiferment agent.

Stagnant stomach dilatation, with procaine powder 2-3 grams, dilute hydrochloric acid solution 15-20 milliliters, paraffin oil 500-1000 milliliters, normal water 500 milliliters, mixed, one-time administration, the effect is better.

5. Scabies mite infection

(1) condition: scabies mites are common in cold areas in winter. Sick donkey skin itching, hair removal, skin yellow water or knot. Due to itchy skin, sick donkeys gnaw all day long, rubbing walls and piles, restless, unable to feed and rest normally, slow fattening, or emaciation. In winter and spring, if the depilation area is large, donkeys can freeze to death.

(2) treatment: spray or wash the affected part with 1% trichlorfon solution once every 4 days for 3 times. If the temperature is too low when washing the affected area, the donkey shed should be heated properly; 4 parts of sulfur powder and 10 parts of Vaseline can also be used to make ointment to wipe the affected part, and 1.5% trichlorfon solution is sprayed on the wall and floor to kill the insect.

6. Gastric myiasis

(1) condition: gastric myiasis is a chronic thinning disease caused by various gastric fly larvae of the family Muscidae and gastric flies parasitic in the gastrointestinal tract. Suffering from donkey spirit depression, extreme emaciation, conjunctival congestion, body temperature 37.8 ℃, intestinal sound disappeared, heartbeat faster, shallow and fast breathing, severe abdominal pain, abdominal circumference increased, defecation stopped. The mouth is slippery, with gray-white tongue coating and sour smell, and a runny nose. There are horse stomach fly larvae glued to the anus. Feces with white larvae, poor fur, emaciation and other symptoms.

(2) treatment: first guide the stomach, into the gastric tube to derive the contents of the stomach. Then take 800g talcum powder, 10g trichlorfon and stomach tube. Then 2% procaine hydrochloride 30 ml 10% Anna plus 20 ml 10% saline 300ml, mixed intravenous injection.

In late autumn and early winter, 8 ~ 14g trichlorfon, water 1000ml and stomach tube were used to prevent equine stomach fly disease. during adult flight, 300mg/kg deltamethrin was used to wipe the back of the elbow and other spawning sites, once every other day, to prevent the infection of horse stomach maggots.

7. Intestinal spasm

(1) illness: the main cause of intestinal spasm is that the donkey is stimulated by cold. Intermittent abdominal pain occurs during intestinal spasm. During the attack, the sick donkey showed moderate abdominal pain, which lasted for 5 to 10 minutes, and then entered the interval. During the interval, the sick donkey looks healthy and often eats and drinks as usual.

The number of defecation of the diseased donkey increased, due to the acceleration of intestinal peristalsis and the increase of intestinal fluid secretion, the diseased donkey continued to discharge a small amount of soft feces, and some feces smelled sour and mixed with mucus.

(2) treatment: 30% analgin solution 20ml ~ 30ml, a subcutaneous or intramuscular injection for analgesia; sodium sulfate 200g ~ 300g, alcohol 50ml, fish stone 15g ~ 20g, water 5000 ml, oral administration of Qingchang to stop fermentation.

The above is just a list of several common diseases, does not mean that all of them are here, hope to have a certain reference value for you.
