If you want to breed, you need to plant gramineous plants eaten by large-tooth longicorn (such as adults found in the surrounding plant environment), set up anti-escape devices around, and then catch the parent longicorn for mating and reproduction. It is forbidden to apply medicine near the grassland at ordinary times. When it needs to be collected in summer, artificial watering can be used to promote its eclosion. At this stage, it can only simulate the environment of natural life, while exploring and carrying out semi-artificial breeding.

Mountain water oxen have a very short lifespan, only half a day. It lays eggs in the soil, hatches into yellow larvae, has been living underground, by eating yellow grass, white grass and other years of growth of grass roots for a living. After three years, it matures into pupae and then emerges into adults, but it is still dormant and hidden underground. Until the summer solstice every year around, thunderstorms, only suddenly wake up, have drilled out of the ground. After they are unearthed, they either fly, crawl, or are captured by humans. Survivors rush to find mates. When the mating is completed, the female insects are busy laying eggs, while the male insects continue to wander. All of them die within a day. Life is as short as mayflies.
