Most of the crabs don't eat much in low temperature weather, and some of them freeze to death directly. Crab is a variable temperature animal, the body temperature mainly depends on the ambient water temperature, usually the crab body temperature is slightly higher than the surrounding environment temperature, water temperature can affect its growth and change. So how can we help the crabs survive the cold weather? How to raise crabs in winter?

The following problems should be paid attention to in crab culture in winter

1. Pond requirements

The area is 5mu, the water level of the pond is above 1.5 meters, the water source is good, it is convenient to enter and discharge the water system, the pool ridge is not leaking, the width of the pond is 2m, and the silt at the bottom is less than 15cm. Ten days before entering the pond, the river crabs were cleared with quicklime and released after 7 days of water injection. Adult crabs are stored in separate ponds before entering the pond.

2. Quality and quantity requirements

Raised crabs need disease-free and injury-free individuals with complete appendages and strong vitality. The individual size is about 120 grams, with a hoarding of 500 lycs per mu. Aquatic plants such as water peanuts, verticillium verticillata and an appropriate amount of snails need to be put into the pond to keep the river crabs losing less fat during hoarding.

3. Daily management requirements

(l) Water quality management: crabs like fresh water environment. During hoarding, the water level should be maintained at a fixed level, and the amount of water should be adjusted according to the size and capacity of the pond. The transparency is about 40 cm, the ph is between 7.5 and 8.5, and the dissolved oxygen is kept at 5 mg / L.

(2) Feed feeding: animal feed is mainly fed, supplemented by plant feed, in which animal feed accounts for 60% of the total feed. When the water temperature is higher than 10 ℃, the daily feeding amount is about 10% of the weight of river crab. It is fed in two stages, 30% of the daily dose in the morning and 60% in the afternoon. When the water temperature is lower than 10 ℃, the feeding amount is reduced by 3% until hibernation stops.

(3) Pond inspection: check the water color and water level. Maintain good water quality and sufficient dissolved oxygen. Second, to check the activities, it is necessary to take appropriate amount of bait to ensure that it has enough to eat, and to remove the spoiled residual bait in time to keep the water fresh.
