Green puffer fish, also known as submarine fish and golden dolls, is a kind of ornamental fish with high ornamental value. Many people will keep several at home. How to raise green puffer fish?

1. Water quality requirements

Green puffer fish is suitable for growing in weakly alkaline water with a ph value of 7-8, and the current inside should not be too strong, lest the green puffer fish cannot swim. If there is a filtration system in the water, activated carbon can not be added to avoid the decrease of ph value of water quality. In addition, the transparency of pool water 40cm is appropriate.

2. Temperature requirement

Green puffer fish suitable water temperature above 25-28 degrees, if less than 16 degrees, appetite will decline, if less than 11 degrees, will stop feeding. Therefore, in winter, we can appropriately use the heating pump to increase the temperature to promote its growth.

3. Oxygen requirements

The green puffer fish has higher requirements for dissolved oxygen in the water. Generally, the dissolved oxygen in the pool water is more than 5 mg / L. When the dissolved oxygen in the pool water is 3 mg / L, it will float slightly. When the dissolved oxygen in the pool water is less than 1.5 mg / L, it will die if it is not treated in time. Therefore, before breeding, it is best to put an aeration pump inside to ensure that there is enough oxygen in the water.

4. Food requirements

Green puffer fish are not picky eaters, whether they are small fish, shrimp, bread worms, red worms, nematodes, etc., but because of the habit of gnashing teeth, they will make a "goo" sound after being arrested, so under natural conditions, they are mainly aquatic invertebrates. If raised artificially, artificial formula feed can also be consumed after domestication. When feeding, there should be enough food. If there is not enough food, they will kill each other.

5. Mixed culture requirements

The green puffer fish is ferocious and eats a lot of food, so it cannot be mixed with other fish. If mixed culture will take the initiative to attack other fish. The density of monoculture should not be too high, and more aquatic plants should be put in the tank.

Generally speaking, green puffer fish is easy to raise, as long as the water quality is weakly alkaline, the water temperature is 25-28 degrees, dissolved oxygen is sufficient, and food is sufficient, but because of its ferocious nature and large food intake, it can not be mixed with other fish.
