How to raise blue beans

Blue beans are succulent plants. The leaves of the plant are covered with white powder, showing light blue, and the leaves are orange or pinkish purple in the environment of large temperature difference and sufficient sunshine. So how to raise blue beans?

1. Soil

Blue beans like sandy loam rich in humus and can also adapt to barren soil. If it is recommended to use loose and fertile sandy soil with good air permeability, it can be mixed with 3 parts of rotten leaf soil, 3 parts of river sand, 1 part of garden soil and 1 part of slag, and a small amount of calcareous materials such as bone powder can be mixed. It can promote the growth rate of blue beans in the later stage.

Second, watering

When watering blue beans, we should pay attention to avoid stagnant water in the basin soil, otherwise it is easy to rot the roots. Appropriate amount of water can be sprinkled around the plant when the air is dry, but do not accumulate water on the leaf surface, especially in the center of the foliage, otherwise the heart will rot, and special attention should be paid to avoid long-term rain.

Third, sunshine

Blue beans are resistant to high temperature and sunlight, but the leaves with too strong light will age and affect the ornamental effect, so it is more appropriate to put blue beans on the balcony or windowsill when the weather is hot.

IV. Fertilization

During the peak growth period of blue beans, it is recommended to apply mature thin liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer with low nitrogen and high phosphorus and potassium every 20 days or so, and be careful not to splash fertilizer and water on the leaves. Fertilization generally chooses sunny morning or evening to carry out, the same day in the evening or the next morning watering a permeable water, used to dilute the residual fertilizer in the soil.
