Because of its fast growth, good meat quality and low cholesterol, turkey is favored by people in western countries and is a necessary food for Thanksgiving. At present, many farmers have begun to raise turkeys, so how to raise turkey seedlings?

I. the period of rearing

The rearing period refers to the turkeys of 0-8 weeks old, the temperature and humidity in the rearing room are on the high side. If you feed more feed at one time, the unfinished feed will become moldy and mildew. When feeding turkeys, in line with the principle of "less feeding and more feeding" and "fresh feed", feed the right amount of feed many times a day. The drinking water of turkey chicks must be 20 ℃, clean and hygienic, and be replaced once every 4-6 hours to ensure the drinking water quality of turkeys.

II. Breeding period

The breeding period refers to the turkey at the age of 9-28 weeks. After the breeding period, the physique and disease resistance of the turkey have been strong, the general temperature difference is not a big threat, and it is easy to manage during breeding. Aquaculture can be in captivity, stocking or a combination of both. General farmers can adopt the way of free-range breeding. Turkeys raised in captivity should also pay attention to the cleaning of the sink. After cleaning, potassium permanganate solution can be used for disinfection. When grazing, turkeys are free to eat grass and insects to strengthen activities and save feed. The turkeys are driven into the free-range area at 7:00 and back at 16:00. After a long time, the turkeys form a habit by themselves. Free-range turkeys are fed pellet feed once a day and keep plenty of water. In winter, turkeys are not suitable for free breeding. The henhouse should be sealed with plastic sheeting and begin to be kept in captivity. The feed ratio of captive feeding and breeding turkey is basically the same.

III. Daily management

The daily management of turkey mainly includes disinfection, epidemic prevention and so on. Do a good job in environmental hygiene, remove all kinds of pollutants in the field in time, disinfect regularly, and choose disinfectants that are safe to people and poultry, non-corrosive to equipment and no toxic residue. Outsiders must undergo strict disinfection, especially at the bottom of the shoes. The farm was cleaned and disinfected twice: the first time at 7:00 and the second time at 16:00. The classical povidone iodine 1300 aqueous solution and decylmethylammonium bromide solution 1300 aqueous solution were used alternately to avoid drug resistance. Disinfect once, clean again, and then disinfect again.

To prevent feed mildew, due to more Rain Water in summer, high humidity, concentrate feed is easy to mildew, resulting in turkey mold poisoning. Sun-dried feed, prohibit moldy feed, put an end to the occurrence of poisoning. When using materials, they should be quantified regularly and added less frequently. Usually pay attention to group management, proper exercise, keep quiet, pay attention to hygiene.

At present, there are relatively few people raising turkeys in China, and there are not many people who eat turkeys in China. If growers have sales conditions, they can try to raise turkeys.
