Black swans are a kind of geese and an important member of the swan family. They like to grow in lakes, coasts and other places. They are widely raised because of their simple breeding methods and strong disease resistance. How to raise black swans?

1. Site selection and building

Black swans like to grow in open waters such as reservoirs, ponds and rivers, so when selecting land, try to choose places with natural waters and overgrown with weeds for breeding. After selecting the site, surround it with a fence to avoid escape.

2. Feeding method

Black swans have two methods: natural free breeding and captive breeding.

(1) Natural free breeding: it is suitable to breed a pair of geese in 100 square meters of water. Plant some aquatic plants and trees around the pool according to the season, and then disinfect them regularly. Generally sprinkle 50 kg of fresh lime powder or 20 kg of bleach per mu of land surface. In addition, after molting every autumn, 5-6 primary feathers should be cut off manually to prevent flight.

(2) cage captivity: the general enclosure is about 30 square meters, the pool inside is 10 square meters, the water depth is 60cm, and each house can raise a pair of breeding geese.

3. Feeding requirements

Black swans generally eat aquatic plants and algae near the water, and if they are farmed, they can feed some green materials, fish meal, bone meal and so on.

4. Hatching

Black swans are monogamous and stay together for life after successful pairing. Generally mature in the 20th month or so, it is necessary to put thatch and straw in the breeding area for its nesting. After nesting is successful, breeding geese can lay eggs. Usually spawn within 1-2 weeks after mating, about 8 in a litter. After giving birth to a litter, the black swan will begin to hatch, male and female alternation, do not go to human interference during the period.

5. Nestling management technology

The main results are as follows: (1) the temperature requirement: the black swan comes out of its shell for 1 ~ 7 days, 35 ℃ ~ 32 ℃, and then drops 1 ℃ ~ 2 ℃ per week, gradually to the natural temperature. whether the temperature is suitable or not depends on the mental state of the goslings.

(2) epidemic prevention: 0.5 ml of Gosling plague serum was subcutaneously injected into the neck within 24 hours after Gosling came out of the shell.

(3) feeding: the goslings can drink lukewarm water 30 hours after coming out of the shell, add antibiotics in the water for 3 days, feed 2 hours after drinking, feed chicken feed 6 ~ 7 times a day, and drink freely.
