First, the living habits of ducks

Ducks belong to the family Anatidae and Ducks. Chordates, domesticated from wild mallard ducks and spotted ducks, can stay in water, but not for long.

Duck is the general name of waterfowl of the subfamily Anatidae of the family Anatidae, which can be divided into wild duck and domestic duck. Wild ducks are relatively small, have a short neck, live on the surface of the water all the year round, have strong diving ability, and feed on small animals in the water (small fish, shrimp, etc.). Domestic ducks are larger than wild ducks and live in water or on land, depending on small animals (fish, shrimp, Loach, etc.) and plants (weeds, barnyard weeds, rice, etc.) in the water.

Male ducks change their feathers twice a year; the eggshell is smooth; the legs of both sexes are covered with overlapping scales. All ducks reach sexual maturity in the first year and are only paired during the breeding season.

Second, how to raise ducks?

Select healthy varieties with strong stress resistance and strong digestion to breed, and at the same time choose suitable breeding sites, which can be stocked in orchards and rice fields, and shacks should be built. Captive ducks need to be fed on time, and free-range ducks need to be replenished in time. Ducklings are replenished once in the morning and evening, and weeds, wild vegetables, insects and so on can be used as feed.

If you choose orchard stocking, then all the soil and water conditions are better, higher trunk or old apple, pear, apricot, Hawthorn, persimmon, walnut and other orchards can be stocked.

The most suitable stocking period is the peak period for the reproduction and growth of animals and plants in the garden, usually from the middle of April (from Qingming Festival to Grain Rain) to the end of October. At this time, the forage grass in the garden grows luxuriantly, and there are many by-products of fruit trees. Ducks can feed on all kinds of grass, wild vegetables, flowers, leaves, fruits and other plant foods, as well as a variety of animal foods such as eggs, pupae, crawling insects and near-surface flying insects.
