As we all know, the cobra is a very poisonous snake, and if it is bitten by a cobra, it may lose its life if it is not handled in time or properly. Some friends will wonder if this kind of snake protects animals. What should I do if I get bitten?

Does the cobra protect animals?

To be clear, Cobra protects animals in China, but only in some provinces. For example, in Shanghai, Hunan and Guizhou, Cobra protects animals, but not in other provinces. And because there are so many kinds of cobras in the world, not all cobras are protected animals. The protection of animals we are talking about here is only the Chinese cobra in China.

At present, there are more than 20 confirmed species of Cobra in the world, but the specific number of species can not be clearly given because of the taxonomic controversy. The distribution of cobra in the world is mainly concentrated in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, Indonesia and other places. In China, Yongzhou in Hunan Province is one of the main habitats of cobras. Liu Zongyuan's "Snake Catcher Theory" refers to the cobra in Yongzhou.

Today's cobras have been able to be farmed artificially. In the last decade, the market has developed rapidly and the breeding technology has been relatively perfect. The venom of cobra has great medicinal value, plays a significant role in analgesia, and has less side effects. In addition, the snake meat of the cobra is very delicious after being processed, and the enthusiasm of raising cobras everywhere is very high.

Second, what if I get bitten?

If you are bitten by a cobra, first of all, don't panic or exercise violently to prevent toxins from entering the cardiovascular system with the flow of blood. Nowadays, the level of medical development has been relatively high, and there is a corresponding serum for the treatment of cobra toxin, and what we should pay attention to is the pre-treatment work after being bitten to prevent the toxin from spreading.

After being bitten, you should first use local materials and tie up the proximal end of the wound to block venous blood flow, that is, to prevent the spread of venom. Secondly, the wound should be detoxified as soon as possible. the conventional practice is to disinfect the skin first, make a longitudinal incision 1.5cm along the tooth mark, reach deep into the skin, or make a "cross" incision, and squeeze the venomous blood around the wound by hand from the proximal end to the distal end, and then clean the wound with 1Rom 5000 potassium permanganate solution. In addition, snake venom can also be sucked to prevent further spread of snake venom. After doing this, go to the hospital as soon as possible and use the detoxification serum, otherwise it will still be life-threatening.

Through these introductions, have you learned anything about Cobra? When we are in the wild, we must pay attention to all kinds of snakes, so as not to be bitten, either hurt people or lose their lives.
