Flytrap, a perennial herb native to North America, is a very interesting insectivorous plant. At present, it has become the most beloved farmed plant in China. So, how to raise the seedlings of the flytrap?

1. How to raise the seedlings of flycatcher

1. Soil

Planting soil, do not add fertilizer, flytrap like sour soil, peat, granular materials (perlite, gravel, etc.) at 1:1, the soil should be changed every spring.

2. Lighting

Swamp plants, the native environment is not shaded by tall plants, like the sun. In family cultivation, full sunshine can be allowed in spring, autumn and winter, and 50 {bf} shade should be added or placed on the indoor sunny windowsill in summer in the south. Or with 40W lamp tube above the plant 30cm to carry out artificial light cultivation, the irradiation time is 12 hours / day.

3. Moisture

Try to use pure water, Rain Water and other soft water. The basin immersion method (called "waist water" method in Hong Kong and Taiwan) is used to create a small environment similar to the original place. The specific method is to place the flytrap basin in a tray or glass tank, inject water to the depth of 3cm, and replenish water regularly.

4. Humidity

The original environment of the flytrap is a swamp grassland with relatively high humidity. If you can use a large water plate to make waist water, the humidity nearby will be a little higher. You can also add a layer of water moss on the topsoil of the basin, which is also helpful to maintain the humidity of the air.
