Arowana is a relatively beautiful ornamental fish, because their scales rich luster, looks very powerful, by the fish people's favorite. Common species of arowana are arowana, red arowana, over the back of the golden dragon and so on, compared to the more ancient freshwater fish. Wild resources are less and less now, and many are artificially raised. How much is the wholesale price of arowana fry? How to feed?

How much is the wholesale price of arowana fry?

Arowana fry wholesale prices have dozens of yuan to several thousand yuan span, or even more expensive, because there are too many varieties of arowana, prices around there are certain differences, but their own breeding is not recommended to buy too small fry, if it is equipped with professional equipment to engage in breeding, then you can negotiate with the local fry market.

2. How to raise arowana fry?

1. Culture pond

The water body designed for indoor culture ponds is generally larger, generally built side by side, convenient for setting up various auxiliary equipment, and also convenient for alternate use. When breeding, all kinds of young fish and adult fish should be cultured in different grades, and the environment should be kept quiet.

Natural ecological simulation should be adopted when breeding ponds. Various ponds for breeding parent fish have loose water environment, which can be divided into deep water area and shallow water area. Floating plants are cultivated in shallow water area or some semi-emergent plants are planted in water body for nesting of naturally paired arowana when spawning, and the water body is kept in micro-flow to reduce bacteria and increase dissolved oxygen.

2. Aquarium

Aquarium culture arowana, according to fish specifications to choose appropriate aquarium.

In order to avoid the expansion of the activity range of juvenile fish, the smaller the juvenile fish, the smaller the aquarium. The juvenile fish with a body length of 10~15cm should be cultivated in a 50~70cm aquarium, and the larger juvenile fish with a body length of 16~20cm should be cultivated in a 70~120cm aquarium. The arowana has the habit of jumping on the water surface. Appropriate net cover or cover plate should be added to the upper part of all kinds of aquariums to prevent the arowana from jumping out. A space of about 10cm should be reserved from the net cover or cover plate to the water surface, so that it can be cultivated for a period of time and then transferred to a larger water body culture.

3. Auxiliary equipment

Generally, it is best to have two filters in the aquarium for breeding arowana, one for physical filtration, which specializes in solid particulate matter such as fish feces, and one for biochemical filters, which specializes in chemical substances, so that various factors of water quality can be maintained. To cooperate with sufficient power of oxygen equipment, heating rods and lamps.

Configuration of a low-power surf pump, can form a suitable strong water flow, increase the dissolved oxygen in the water, while the water flow can also increase the amount of arowana movement, thereby improving health.

For large aquariums, it is best to plant some water plants properly, which not only helps to supply more oxygen during the day, but also regulates the light, stabilizes the water quality, and is conducive to the survival and reproduction of plankton in the water.

4. Daily maintenance

Arowana fry generally adopt the way of graded cultivation culture. The fry that just left the parent fish, the body length is less than 3cm, the bait fish meat is beaten into fine pulp daily, and fed with small biological bait such as fresh chironomid larvae, etc., 4~6 times a day. After 2~3 months of cultivation, the fry of the dragon fish can grow to about 10cm, and then transferred to a larger culture pond for cultivation at the next level. Within a few days gradually transition to feeding bait "splash" small fry or other insects, shrimp, minced meat and other palatable bait.

At the beginning of larval cultivation, enough plankton or other palatable food should be prepared so that arowana larvae can eat palatable animal food after consuming their yolk sacs.

When larvae hatch, to prevent being sucked on the filter inlet, to add a net cover in front of the inlet, and control the water flow velocity.
